How do i use buyer requests

I have seen alot of people on here use Buyer Requests to put their Gig Out there for people to see but i wanted to know if that is allowed or helps in any way to get more customers?

Misuse of the Buyer Request feature, such as advertising your services as a seller, may lead to your account being disabled. Please don’t advertise on buyer requests column, instead promote your gigs on other social media platforms!
