I have order that needs more information from client. I opened a dispute to extend delivery time because im waiting for his reply, but in 1 hour I will have late delivery. Will it affect me when he accepts dispute after late delivery status? Thanks

If i were to be in that situation…so as not to affect my Delivery time ratings…I will make a delivery and leave a message for him to request for a revision with the details i need, and explain to him why i had to do such delivery… then i hope he come online before the 3days automatic markup…And if he come sometime after,…,.,.will still get his job don for him.

I JUST HAVE TO HOPE HE WILL BE A CONSIDERATE BUYER THAT WILL UNDERSTAND and not go and open some unnecessary query with support.

Yes it will. The dispute have to be accepted before the time will run out

This is stupid 🤨 If I would have time then I won’t be asking for it…

My experience with this is that as long as the time extension is asked for before delivery becomes late, then as long as the buyer accepts it, it doesn’t go late.

Yes, that is my experience too. It used to be that if it went late it would be marked late regardless and affect stats but they seem to have fixed that.

I don’t think many sellers realise this, but what you’ve suggested is actually a serious breach of Fiverr’s terms of service. Personally I think what you’ve suggested is a very common sense approach, however I don’t make the rules and we all need to learn from this:

Fiverr Customer Support will cancel orders based on, but not limited to, the following reasons:

  • The Seller uses the Delivery system to extend the delivery due date to complete the requested service without providing the final delivered service to Buyers. Note: Multiple reported offenses will result in permanent suspension of your account.

As you can see, Fiverr treat this very seriously, resulting in a seller being banned if they do this too many times. The key words are “without providing the final delivered service”.

It might also be useful to remind ourselves that Fiverr CS can also cancel orders if:

  • The Seller delivers no files and/or proof of work related to the agreed upon order requirements. Note: Subjectivity of the materials in question will be reviewed by our Customer Support team.

I include the last bit because so many of us sellers work in the cloud such as amending Google Docs or transferring large files via other platforms such as We Transfer etc. What Fiverr is saying is that you must include evidence that you have delivered the work as part of the delivery.

Agreed, sending an empty file or just some of the order is against the Fiverr terms of service… Never ever do something like that.

Don’t stress about it. I extend delivery times all the time. I have one buyer who orders in bulk but is incapable of messaging me for a quote and never checks messages or notifications for days. Now I send him a request to extend for 7-days, send work as it gets done as a message attachment, and deliver officially when he accepts my extension request.

I get an email saying Warning! as soon as the order does go late. However, my stats never go down after my buyer eventually accepts and I deliver.

It is an odd way of doing things. However, this works best for the both of us. I did create a gig just for him once, but other people started buying it, while he never bothered to.

As long as you sent your request before the deadline ended, you will be fine. (If your buyer accepts.) I’ve also found that if you cancel an order after it runs late (because buyers don’t submit details or communicate) it doesn’t affect your delivery on time ratings. (Though it will affect your cancellation rate.)

Sounds good but in 8 hours order will get canceled and I will get bad review, I requested additional time but buyer is not showing on Fiverr. So I contacted CS to cancel this order and im waiting for their response.

Clients can request automatic cancellation only after the order is late for 48 hours. They can also choose not to cancel it.

Oh, I read somewhere that after 24 hours it will get canceled. Google tricked me again :man_facepalming:

Hello sir, suppose I have not delivered the order and what if the buyer doesn't accept/reject the order time extension request. Will it be marked late? What will happen to the order in this case.

Awaiting your reply,

Thanks again,

Omkar

I have similar experience as well. I think Fiverr fixed this.
