What is the weirdest thing you ever had to Google for your writing research?

Any time I have to research murder methods I feel like I’m getting added to some kind of government watchlist. :rofl:

Oh, that’s a tough one…
I’m a firm supporter of ‘doing the research’ so I’m not sure I can recall the weirdest, but most recent weird/strangest thing I’ve had to look up was “homemade pigskin rawhide recipes” so I could get an idea of how long the process takes. (Bonus: Found out it also doesn’t smell particularly good.)

Although a few runner-ups:

• Japanese sound effect kanji for shattering ice
• contents of car emergency kits
• Autoignition points
• transcriber glass
• playing card dimension

And anything to do with lock-picking (similar vein to those murder or mystery scene shenanigans). :rofl:

I just started writing, so far the weirdest thing I looked up for my writing is “can a tree survive without water or food for a year?”
