Why top rated seller always?

I have more then 2 years on fiverr. have not got as I am expecting from fiverr. at the very outset I got some order from fiverr. I thing all order always goes to top rated sellers on fiverrs. they are already top rated and buyers chose them for they are top rated. No chance for newbie and old but not top rated and I also not getting any buyers request from long time. I check regular for the buyer request but not found them. Can anybody suggest why this happning?

That is perfectly normal mate, think of yourself as a buyer. You go in, you see 5 options, there are new sellers and well established sellers, which one would you spend your money on, after all the buyers are spending real money and time here, so it’s perfectly normal for people to go to top rated sellers over new sellers. Now I’m not saying EVERY buyer goes to top rated sellers, but the majority do!

this is common thing… if buyers see the Top rated seller then they will prefer first and this is not true that every buyer goes to Top rated…! so just trying to be in top rated.

I agree what you said but the mostly buyers goes with top rated. because they found them easily on fiverr. and not for old and others.

If you look around at all the thousands and millions of sellers on fiverr, you will see that most of any level are getting orders and making sales.

How do you think top rated sellers began on fiverr? With zero.

There are sellers I know of at level zero who get orders every day and earn a lot of money.

So how do you think top rated sellers became top rated? They were also starting at the same point where you started with zero reviews.

I’m pretty sure top rated sellers didn’t expect anything from fiverr. They just came here and did their job and didn’t rely completely on fiverr to bring them orders. If you going to ask me how to get orders then don’t. No one can give you that formula, only you can find what works for you to get orders.

you just have to start to be a top rated seller… like Do hard work with accuracy and satisfied the buyer so he can Prefer you next time when he need. so theses are the small steps that can help you to build yourself top rated seller.

I think it depends on service, price, maybe quality required etc. On average TRS will charge more than average sellers so the price for some services maybe too high for some buyers.

In the case of data entry, if I do a search for “data entry” and select TRS only, there’s only 9 gigs in the list. The first in the list has 5 orders in the queue and the 2nd in the list has 0 orders in the queue. So for something like data entry it’s probably not TRS who are the main competition, it’s probably all the thousands gigs from lower levelled sellers. eg. you’re competing with over 44,000 new/unleveled sellers in the data entry category.

What you could do is make sure all your gigs are still in the search index by using the checker in the help desk. You could check (reload) the buyer request page quite a few times a day, not just once). Maybe create a gig/gigs that have less competition/more profit. Since research is one of your skills, maybe research what would be the best services to offer (where there’s not too much competition and there’s enough profit).

The number of reviews you have is more important than level badge, potential buyer need confidence to buy. So number of reviews plays a role of social proof.

Except it doesn’t. I’d get more orders when I was Level 2. Twice as much, in fact. The prices were lower, it’d attract more buyers.

I am also facing the same problem. I think as a beginner we will have to struggle a bit initially to gain the client base like Top Seller in future. This is not the time to directly compare any beginner to the top sellers on Fiverr. Their efforts and determination taken them where they are. We have to learn and copy them in some ways.

A solutions seems to be for beginners is to suggest and advertise your services to the socially know peoples around to us. Give best effort on each and every project to get 5 start ratings and positive reviews which will be increasing with the word of mouth referrals to more and more people. It requires patience and time to become trusted and to have a client base.

I am on the way there to give a real fight back to the Top Sellers on Fiverr. It will take some time but I will definitely reach there in coming times. 😀

That is not true at all. 🙂 If you see in the search algorithm. there are mixed sellers coming up on the first page & it’s changing day by day. That’s mean Fiverr is giving everyone to get ranked in first/ 2nd pages.

You are misunderstanding what I said…

We can not become Top rated Seller unless we provide quality and reliable service. Being a Top Rated Seller is the outcome of your long term true, quality and passionate efforts towards your clients to have a positive feedback and review which will have compounding impact on your profile. Wanting to become Top Seller is not in anyway wrong but to have only keep wanting and not doing things requires is wrong. If you need a flower, you don’t just by miracle produce a flower. It requires seed, soil, water, atmosphere, sunlight in the right combination to produce the flower. Similarly, if you want to become a Top Seller you have get clients, trust, reliability, hard work are some of the important vital factors which in the right combination get you to become the Top Seller.

Becoming a Top Seller is a destination and hard work is the only way. 😀

That’s not what my comment was about. You made a claim that you believed TRS got all the orders. I told you that in my case I had more orders when I was Level 2, not TRS. One of the reasons why I had more orders then, in my opinion, was due to the fact that my prices were lower than they are now.

You have to sell something that is a good combination of quality, uniqueness, and price. If you sell the same thing thousands of people do that looks the same and costs the same, more experienced sellers will get picked over you.
