How do I get my 1st order on Fiverr?

You have to be patient. 1st order is one of the most important things to start off with on Fiverr. It took me about 1.5 weeks to get my first order. I assume, I was pretty lucky at it. Customers are more likely to choose already rated gig, because they don’t know how trusted that non-rated seller/gig is.

There aren’t really any shortcuts there. Just patience. While you wait for your first order, I suggest upgrading your Gig description frequently, adding more FAQs, making everything look as professional as possible. You will still get your first order someday, it really depends on the Gig service itself and any other factors. You should also lower your price to the lowest. I checked your Gig and it had pretty high prices there.

It’s better to start off as cheap as possible, but also start strong! 💪
I wish all the best,

Thank you for the motivation, @arnukas. I will refactor my gig.
But isn’t it imperative that we charge our customers in accordance to the kind of services we offer? I am confident that I shall not disappoint them. Do you think that I am overcharging?

Do you think that I am overcharging

You are not overcharging, but the price is simply way too high for the new seller. What I did, when I was a new seller, is I had the price set at minimum ($5), and I worked so hard on those first orders, because I knew, that I would get a “trade off”. They get my services for the cheapest price as possible and I get my career started. So I think it’s pretty fair to start at a minimum price. After couple of orders, slightly rise the price as the interest in your Gig grows. Offer them opportunity of why to purchase your premium package. Include more keywords to it, or more text for free. As I checked, you are a story writer. This will let you get started.

Hope this clears you out.

Thank you, @arnukas. I understand your perspective. I will consider dropping the prices.

Thank you again for your guidance. I feel motivated.

Your gig is perfect but I think the main issue with it is that your thumbnail is a picture of yourself instead of the story!

Thank you, @realdazz. I have attached a .pdf of my story(a sample) with the gig. Do you think it would be better if I replace it with the current thumbnail?

Your Welcome and Yes, you should replace the thumbnail with the .pdf story as it tells more about your gig!

You will get your order within a month, Just dont give up and try your best to stay online as much as possible and please beware of the most common ways people get banned on fiverr!

I’ve been on fiverr for 2 years, and I took a few months break from it. When I came back recently, I haven’t been able to get any new traffic at all! It’s my first order in that sense. How do I restart that traffic?

I don’t think that’s funny. It’s a serious job and challenge to take part in. I don’t see the point of laughing, especially for your first upcoming order. You should take this seriously instead of thinking it’s a joke for you.

You should not give up on this and be as much active as possible, this will increase your sales.

Honestly, if anyone is going to say that as a new seller, you already know which way they are going to go!

What you should follow for increase order :

=> Make an attractive gig thumbnail image that will attract clients to buy your gig.

=> Always try to login Fiverr apps or PC so that buyers can easily find who is online now and it will increase the chances to get a sale.

=> And Finally send buyer request daily with an excellent cover letter.

Hey, That’s great that your doing all this stuff but remember there are over 90% chances for you to get your first orders using buyer request so make sure to write the perfect buyer request! Once you receive first 1-3 orders then the rest are common 🙂
