Can Fiverr Make a refund for a job marked completed

Hello, just got a surprising refund request from a buyer whose job has been submitted and he also marked it as completed with a 5 star review.
The gig was delivered over many days ago and he’s asking for a refund now.
Is it possible for Fiverr to ask me to refund him even if the said fund has been cleared?

Yes, it is possible. Also, it could be a PayPal or charge card chargeback. Check to see if your buyer is still on the Fiverr platform. If he is not, then more than likely, it was a chargeback, and Fiverr has banned the person.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I’m the seller and the said payment has been cleared after 14 days and lol! I’ve even withdrawn the money to my PayPal.
Is it still possible for Fiverr to ask me to refund the money to buyer?

Oops, I should have written the buyer instead of the seller. I just fixed that.

So is the buyer asking you directly to refund the money? If so, and the order is marked complete, even if you wanted to you could not refund the money, only CS can do that. However, as I said, they have been known to do so if the buyer can prove he did not get what he ordered.

I have read on the Forum where sellers end up with a negative balance when Fiverr gives a buyer back their money, and the seller has no funds in their account. I would ignore the buyer and maybe even block them.

be careful, if you break any rule while selling the gig. It will definitely be refunded. 100% and you’ll issued a warning I suppose.
If it was just a dubious afterthought report the buyer and the attempt will be intercepted. Trust, Fiverr with never support scarmers
