Require a file to be uploaded by a buyer

I do audio noise removal gigs, and I’ve had two buyers in two days that have ordered the gig without uploading a file to be processed. One buyer had a question about the order, and put it there, and the other doesn’t understand how to upload the file.

Could Fiverr add an option to gigs to require a file upload before the timer starts? Or at least if the buyer doesn’t add a file, could they get a warning box saying “This gig typically requires a source file to get started” since I know some buyers tend to link to their own hosting services.

A feature requiring an attachment before purchase would be great to not start the clock as well as get you what you need. Until then, you can “nudge” the Buyer, and if that fails, request a “mutual cancellation” which generally gets a Buyers attention.



For better or worse, educating Buyers and helping them thru the buying process is the Sellers responsibility.
