Customer support asking for my actual phone number!

Hi,
I am new to fiverr. I am trying to set up a fiverr seller profile and had some problems registering my personal phone number with fiverr (age old problem of 'There is something wrong with this number). After reading a few forum posts i decided to contact customer support for this.
Now, the customer support is asking me for my actual phone number saying that they have to look into it. Do you think it is safe for me to share my uncensored personal phone number to the customer support ?
Does this violate any TOS of FIverr?
Can anybody help me with this?
