nextair
I see world is suffering from Covid 19 and to help Freelancers and clients i would suggest fiverr management to either remove or reduce fee percentage for a specific time. That will really benefit all struggling online businesses in this tough time. What is your say? 3
lenasemenkova
Dribbble just announced that 100% of their shop proceeds (works a bit similar to the newly introduced fiverr’s logo shop) will be donated to COVID-19 recovery fund until further notice. I wouldn’t expect any fee decrease anytime soon. 2

If sellers want to discount their rates to help their buyers they can. However, asking Fiverr itself to reduce its fee makes no logical sense if you care about the continuity of the platform. 4
tecnoidinc
Hello awesome sellers,I just thought about something, but I don’t know if Fiverr can make it possible. The thing is, I don’t know if Fiverr can fasten the fund clearance period during this Covid-19 period to help sellers pay bills and get some things to sustain this stay at home period.Regards,Adams
darrendesign
A very fine day to you Adams, I thinks fiverr’s clearance period is because of keeping the process safe from the hackers, securing your funds and the transaction I guess. But I’m wondering if you have faced with that bill troubles as how I know because of pandemic situation in whole world all payments are transferred to next month or even debts are forgiven. Are you sure you can’t avoid of paying bills in this month?
isaackrauss
Does anyone know if Fiverr is planning to offer some fees reduction during these hard times of the COVID-19 outbreak?I’m sure that if Fiverr shows some empathy sellers will do their part to offer discounts too and help organizations that need a hand.Update:A more detailed conversation of this subject is in this other thread:https://forum.fiverr.com/t/helping-out-organizations-affected-by-covid-19-or-fighting-against-it

Even if the sellers promote their own donations and discounts it will never have the same reach, not even fraction of what can be possible if Fiverr makes an official announcement and promotion. Showing some empathy and participating in social causes can work to create business relationships and increase Fiverr’s reach, so yes they can have financial benefit at the end of the day by leading this initiative. Also this can be regulated, by only offering fees reductions to sellers that participate in this initiative, this can be well administrated with the tools they have so this initiative works in the expected way and preventing people taking advantage for a selfish purpose. You have to look the big picture, think on business adaptation to a situation that could bring them benefit and reputation in the long term. 1

Pandemic 1 is the Coronavirus. Pandemic 2 is a pandemic of mass virtue signalling.Think about what is being asked here. You want a company that gives you a platform to lower it’s take home fee, when you yourself could lower your fee to help your target market. There’s empathy and there is passing the charitable buck.I paid for my neighbors groceries yesterday. What I didn’t do is ask the mobile grocer I use to give them away for free or give the person who needed help a discount. If you want to do something magnanimous or charitable in any crisis, do it. No one is stopping you. 4
storyninja
Great idea.I think fiverr will think about it.They wouldn’t even try to match reduced fees like Upwork after $500 with repeat clients, so I’d be shocked if they did so for COVID-19. clippin_expert
I’m also thinking about it. Fiverr should concern about it. Humanity or Aid should be start from own home or own organization 😐.So we are the part of the Fiverr. In this hard time, Fiverr should assist us by reducing the % of their fee. Please consider this point. Why would they lower their fees? You can charge more and earn more if you want. Fees are fine, considering the fact that we are barely promoting our gigs and get clients.

jonbaas
hope fiverr offer faster withdrawal time and lower fees.Doubtful, @chrisdata. Faster withdrawals would ruin Fiverr’s level benefits, and get in the way of their normal security clearance time. As for lower fees, I don’t see this happening either, because Fiverr still needs to maintain their site, and the fees are said to cover this.

If an Uber driver abuses the platform, he or she can be deactivated. Same goes for Uber passengers.DoorDash pays you once a week, until you have made over 50 deliveries. The top executives cannot do things like that without the approval of the majority of stockholders probably. And there is no doubt whatsoever they wouldn’t approve of it.What if you had invested $20,000 in fiverr stock thereby giving you partial ownership of the company and then the chairman announced to all stockholders fiverr was lowing it’s fees. You would be able to sue the chairman of the board and the entire board of directors. It would be called gross mismanagement.
