Copyright issues because of a fiverr gig

I recently purchased from a graphic designer on fiverr a post featured image for my blog.
Now my question is:
What happens if the seller used copyrights images for my work?
Can I be sued (Because its featured on my website ?)
Or can I say its the seller responsibility?

you can be sued for anything, just because you’re sued doesn’t mean you’ll lose. the seller should logically pay the expenses
