Congrats to you my friend! That’s an outstanding tip! We’re new on Fiverr and we just delivered our first service and we got our first tip of 9$ on 45$ of design service. 😉 It was a nice surprise, we didn’t expect it and it encourages us to always give our best in what we do.

Good Luck Dear … My Best Wishes for you …

I used to make $500+ in tips every Christmas as a 13-year old delivering milk and newspapers.

Later I made $1,500+ in tips each year in the hospitality industry.

My biggest tip on Fiverr was for around $80. However, my bigdest tip for Fiverr sellers is that if you want big tips, work somewhere else. 😉

I actually got curious after your comment and checked my analytics page. Turns out that I make 100$+ every month just in tips, and last 2 years I get more tips than 2 years before this. (Is it because my customer services and skills got better? 😁).

So it seems that adding 20% fee on tips didn’t really affect me getting tips here.

My biggest tip was 200$ on a 100$ order.

To be honest I didn’t do anything extraordinary, I just delivered my work as usually with no extras. But it summed up more or less in my market rate outside of fiverr.

because a seller does a great job, does not mean buyers leave tips. It is unwise to make claims that promise unrealistic results

Totally agree with this. I don’t expect tips, I already put a price that covers my work time and expenses and if someone feels like tipping me then I’m all for it, but it totally doesn’t affect the quality or quantity of work that I deliver.

I understand what exactly you saying… but i am trying to explain from my experience… every individual here have difference experience … I am experiencing this from last few months and i see if we are doing more extra for clients they understand and they give regard to it.

Wow Congratulations…

I am strictly a buyer. I like to tip when I can see that a seller worked hard for what might have become more work than first thought. But sellers (and Fiverr) need to remember that tips should always be voluntary. Tips are given from the heart. I find it offensive that Fiverr asserts otherwise and even takes a commission on tips. I do wonder if sellers know this.

Yes, we know this that fiverr takes a commission on tips.

congrats! I haven’t gotten tip like that, but i my first gig i made an offer costing $80 but the buyer came back and said he was willing to pay $100 for good quality work, which was great first experience, now i’m just hoping to get more gigs! Any suggestions when you’re new to fiverr and dont have that many reviews? I got a good review on my first gig and he also said he’d might need more but he wanted to start with this, maybe to see the quality i guess
