vialydesigns
When I open the jped and png on my PC, they are crisp and clear. When I import to word or publisher, they become pixelated.Im pretty confident they are high res. I hope I ordered the correct files in my package, as Im not a GD, and have no idea what the different files meanIve asked my designer, but they dont use Microsoft programs so they cant give me an answer. Can anyone help?
uk1000
You could check the properties of the images to check what pixel dimensions they are (eg. right click on them in explorer and check the properties tab, then the “details” tab). You could use the png files in word as they should be less compressed and allow transparency. If they gave you a .ai version you could create a higher resolution .png version from that if you needed to, depending on the software you have. Though I assume you’re not scaling the image >100% in that either. Or maybe it’s showing in some preview mode but the final output will be better.Maybe see if it can import a vector format that you’ve been sent or if the designer could export it in a vector format compatible with it.For the Word/.PDF issue, you could try the suggestions in this link (eg. making sure “optimise for image quality” is set before exporting as a .pdf and that you’re not scaling the image/.pdf >100%): Did you see the response I give in this thread below? What pixel resolution (width and height) is the supplied .png? Are you scaling it >100%? Did they give you a vector file too (eg. .ai)? Check the options in the “save as PDF”, option. eg. “optimize for image quality” or something. Also are you viewing the .pdf <=100% size?
