CUBA gig gone bad/Paypal shut me down

I wanted to buy a gig from a new Cuban seller. He offered info about his country. Paypal shut me down and I had to sign a release to activate it again. It said I was trying to do business with an unauthorized country. Only the US has a problem with Cuba, the rest of the world does not, including Canada.

Anybody else have a similar problem.

Are you SURE that’s why you were shut down? Because your order does got to Cuba and Fiverr is the intermediary who gets the money to the seller.

I agree with @anarchofighter. This sounds strange since Fiverr gets the money from the buyers and then they send it to us. I never heard about the Cuba rule but it is very interesting.

Yes, I also believed that Fiverr received the money and then sent it on. So, I still don’t know what went wrong? Attached is my discussion with the Cuban guy.
