Working outside of Fiverr process

Hi Fiverr comunity,

I was asked by a buyer to execute my gig (translation task) directly in his system (website) instead of transmitting a file with my work done.
Do you think if this method is authorisez by Fiverr TOS or not ?

Read the ToS. You can’t cover yourself if you don’t submit it to Fiverr. You need to prove in an order that you did he work. This isn’t allowed anyway and it’s not reasonable for a buyer to ask for that.

I have done a number of jobs like this and it is common to be asked to do this when there is a multi language translation of a website, for example. It actually makes sense to do things this way in many cases. It isn’t against Fiverr rules as long as communication is done through Fiverr.

It is important to find a way of proving you did the work though. This can be done by a download of the translated content which is then sent with the delivery. This isn’t always possible so taking some screenshots of the work done is another way around this.
You should be cautious though, I have never had issues with this type of project but if there is an issue it could be difficult to 100% prove the work was done.

Perhaps delivering the original text plus translation in one document, plus screenshots of the translated text on the website? Do you think it would be a solid enough proof that the work was done?

Yeah but it isn’t always that easy to do as you can often have pages and pages of short text so copy pasting it all would take a lot of time
