I know a few poetry lines that use the “candle in the dark” metaphor. But candle in the wind? Hmm, flame in the wind then. Along the lines of ‘vanish’ or ‘be gone’, probably. (Vase -> varnish -> vanish?)

As everyone on this forum found out when she posted her pic, Vickie is a beautiful woman. One day, after I complimented her a few too many times, she got out her grandma’s wooden spoon and put it beside her.

Just hearing about that thing put me on my best behaviour.

At Christmas, Vickie gifted Maitasun a wooden spoon, hoping it’d help her keep me in line. I haven’t been quite as well behaved around her, but I’m trying. 😅
