Even though I’m not currently living in the states, for me November equals
Thanksgiving.
So to all of you guys out there, Happy Thanksgiving.

Last year I was in Seattle and my dear friend cooked a whole Thanksgiving meal,
I had the turkey, the mashed potatoes, corn, you name it.
Sadly I’m not in the states for the lovely dinner this year.

Guys, go ahead and post your Thanksgiving dinner photos.
My friends on Facebook tortured me already, so I can take it.

Dang, I want mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie now…

At Home
Roast with potatoes, onions, peppers and mushrooms
Plain Rice (have rice addicts in my house)
Mac and Cheese (from scratch)
Honey Cornbread
Seafood Pasta Salad
Deviled Eggs
Lemon Cake
Apple Pie

At Aunties:
Brisket
Biscuits
Apple Pie
Rice and Veggie Dish
Mac and Cheese (from scratch)

Really wanted some pecan pie but that’s the first pie to go from the bakery.

I’m so disappointed I didn’t get to see a whole array of amazing food here.

My sons braved the freezing temps to deep fat fry our turkey.

We also had mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, corn, candied yams, green bean casserole, cranberries, fresh-baked buns with butter, pumpkin, pecan, and strawberry rhubarb pie. There also was brownies and lefse–a Norwegian flatbread–buttered and sprinkled with sugar and rolled up.

To drink, we had eggnog with whiskey, sprite with cranberry juice, mimosas (champagne with orange juice ), and sparkling apple cider.

The sad thing is that the largest turkey that can fit in the fryer is 18 pounds, so there was not any turkey left.
