Applying for Fiverr Pro - How to provide proof of experience from my day job?

Hi everyone! I’m sorry if this has been posted before (kindly redirect me, in this case).

I found out about Fiverr Pro just this morning, and being an active profession la in my field for 7 years, I decided to apply for it. When I started the application process, I noticed I was required to provide proofs of my previous projects, and while it isn’t a problem for me, I work in an industry where project output isn’t quite public.

To be clear, I am an electrical power engineer, specialising in electrical load flow and illumination studies, and I have worked in EPC companies on multimillion dollar projects (Oil & Gas, Power Plants, Chemical Plants and Electrical Substations) in South Asia and Middle East. Needless to say, I am well-versed in what I do, but at the end of the day, the work I do is my company’s property, and I’m unsure how to submit proof of my competence without violating copyright and intellectual property laws.

Any suggestions or feedback will be highly appreciated!

I already have a running gig for illumination design, and I plan to expand to electrical system studies as well.

I’m presuming you are using Auto CAD as one of your primary work tools? If so, I’d create some illumination designs for famous buildings. The Sphinx, the Colosseum maybe even be a bit cheeky and do Fiverr HQ in Tel Aviv.

I’d also consider creating a Medium account and posting a few blog posts about what you do, with relevant visual media.

All this advice is just off the top of my head. I haven’t applied for Pro. However, this is how I imagine I would do things if I was in your shoes.

I’m using DIALux Evo for illumination studies and ETAP for other electrical systems. I understand your point, though I imagine taking time to tailor-make a portfolio just for application might take too much of my time (especially after my regular 9-to-5 job).

I will, however, certainly take this into consideration, and work on what you listed. I had just assumed initially that Fiverr might accept letters of recommendation / experience from organisations.
