Examples of responding to potential clients

Hi,

I don’t see a lot of discussion regarding how to interact with potential clients via the Fiverr messaging system.

I received a communication from an individual today who is looking for help with writing a scientific document for kids. This is right up my ally, but I’m not sure how to respond. He sent me a 4 sentence paragraph describing what he currently has and what he needs for me to do. That basically involves editing/revising current literature and creating new literature when/if needed.

I’m wondering how to word a response. Should it be very formal and professional? Should ask for everything that I’ll need up front?

It should be informal and professional.
Yes ask for everything you will need up front to be able to give him a quote for your fees.

You write very well so I’m sure you can come up with good communications.
