Buyer request doubt

Hi I got a buyer request and I made an offer. How will I know how much they are paying when they are placing the order? The custom offer I made was much more than any of my gig price as the requirement was much larger.

Another question, what if they cancel out midway after placing order?! Do I get any fee for the time wasted?
