I’m really not sure what you’re asking.

If you’re asking whether buyers are more likely to contact you if you’re online, some of them are (those who are in a hurry and must have it done now). Most buyers don’t care whether you’re online or not, though, as long as you respond reasonably fast.

EDIT: I see now that you don’t have any active gigs, so it’s not possible to contact you, whether you’re online or not.

If you’re asking whether buyers are more likely to contact you if you’re online, some of them are (those who are in a hurry and must have it done now). Most buyers don’t care whether you’re online or not, though, as long as you respond reasonably fast.

Either way - using such terms as “brother, dear, bro” etc are not professional and annoying to those who are not from your country or culture - here in the US we do not call people such things in a professional environment as it is unprofessional.

Being online 1 hour or 24 is not how you get orders. I get probably 99% of my orders when I am OFF line - people can order from your profile when you make one that is, 24/7/365. Many will say be online here for hours on end, but, that is not the recipe for success. Read the forum more to gain insight into what does work. If you are able to answer buyer’s request, do as many as you are allowed and focus your offer to the potential buyer as if you actually READ it - meaning address what they need done specifically, not sending a generic message to all requests.

The system doesnt make it hard. Sellers make it hard for themselves.

For example, if you create a gig that has thousands of competitors and there aren’t thousands of buyers for it, what is Fiverr supposed to do? Recruit people to buy it? If you throw a needle in a haystack, do you blame the haystack for making it hard to find the needle?

If you want sales, take initiative and learn how sales works and research your market instead of blaming the system. Fiverr doesn’t owe you sales. This is a marketplace, not a charity.

That depends on what you offer, whether there’s enough demand for what you offer, and how good you are at what you’re offering.

For example, there are thousands and thousands of virtual assistant gigs. Why would someone choose you over all of them, especially since you charge a lot more, but have no reviews to prove that you’re worth it (plus, after reading your gig description, I’m still not sure what, exactly, do you offer to do for buyers)?

although, from my point of view, I do agree with what you write 🙂 I think that one should consider that the US is not the whole world. Maybe 50% of Fiverr users are not from the US. What is considered “unprofessional” in one part of the world might be “professional” in another part of the world. It is possible that in other parts of the world one should address colleagues and clients as “dear” in a professional environment. Maybe we can try to be open to different cultures and habbits unless they are hostile or harmful of course. Don’t you agree?

About your first question: I think that one needs to get enough rest and sleep in order to be able to function well at work. One could see Fiverr as a part time job while someone else can see it as a full time job. I think that it is reasonable to work on Fiverr maximum as many hours as you would work in any job.

About your second question: I think that self-promotion in social media can help you, joining discussions in related forums can help you and checking out buyers requests on Fiverr might also help you.
