Can I use a phone number that is not 24/7 active for verification

Hello, I’m new here and I’m about to launch my gig. I want to get past the phone verification but the number I want to use for that isn’t always in a phone. I can however, put it in a device to verify but I hope it wouldn’t affect my account much later as I read that verification will be done at different touch points. Anyone with a good insight on this?

@sandrapencrafty I use the Google Authenticator App. Saves all the phone beeping. I hope that helps.
