Hi @dinial,

Yes, you’re allowed to use Dropbox when delivering orders.

Just be sure to attach a text file with the link inside and upload it as your delivered work, explaining this to your buyer on your delivery message.

Also please, remember to ALWAYS deliver orders using the delivery button. NEVER do it as an attachment through the Inbox. Doing so is giving your buyer your work for free.

yes, you can use the dropbox , if your file is more then 1GB otherwise you should use fiverr option to deliver the files 👍

You can use Dropbox even if the size is less than 1GB. Personally I use Google Drive to deliver orders if they are of a confidential nature. This is both for added security and to avoid the work being published in the portfolio. Often I’ll get work that is for internal use only, or confidential.

I know some sellers prefer to use cloud storage on all orders as well, because they might be doing backups there anyway, and pasting the link is easier than uploading the work again.

But you have to make sure the delivery is included, as I have heard of people getting in trouble for sending empty deliveries before - even though they included a link in the delivery message. So you should always include some sort of attached document with the link to the work, and perhaps an explanation of the work done etc. depending on the case.

Thanks for sharing! Would that also be the case for sending a portion of the project to make sure your on the same track with what the buyer has in mind? Lots of small nuances to learn about. Much appreciation from this new seller here. 🙂

I wouldn’t use the delivery button to deliver a portion of the project (order) as you could then be get a warning for a “partial delivery”.

You could send a dropbox link but don’t use the delivery button unless i’ts the complete delivery. If you want to prevent use of the short portion of the project you could add some audio watermark to it I think (but don’t do that on the actual delivery).

You’re most welcome, @deanbrightman.

Yes, you can use Dropbox if you need to. Only, don’t send the link through the delivery button, since you aren’t delivering the order. Just paste the link in the order chat where you keep in touch with your ckient.

Once you have the order done and ready, then send the link of the completed work as described before.

Everyone has been new in many stages of their lives, so don’t worry about that. And regarding learning, it’s an endless process. Wise people keep learning till the day they die. 😉

Would dropbox be a safer way to receive info also? I mention this because someone talked about being cautious about opening links from other applications. As you probably can tell, I’m a late bloomer when it comes to computer literacy. lol Thanks again for everyone’s help but more importantly your patients. 🙂

What info would you need to be sent to you that can’t be written in the Inbox?

Dropbox is just the means by which you or your potential buyer would be sending files. So, any danger will be within the file itself.

But that’s only my opinion. Maybe someone knows better than me, since I, too, don’t know much about all this.

As a voice talent, hearing what they really have in mind with style, cadence, energy etc.

is what I was thinking about.

Oh, I’m sorry to not be able to help you in this. I’m no VO artist. I’m just a humble translator and proofreader.

I don’t know how VO sellers handle your needs, which I think would be the same as theirs.

Surely that can just be asked on the order page. Unless you wanted reference audio. Basically as long as it is okay with the TOS, copyright etc. it should be okay. It would help if anything necessary for CS to see is also on the order page.

Thank you uk100!! That makes sense to have documentation for CS.

I’m going to take your advice and do that ASAP! So does having all the pertinent information on the order page and requirements page help protect oneself from some of the unfortunate buyers that try to manipulate the system? Is it like a legal document that protects yourself? I’ll go back over fiverr’s TOS, but I didn’t notice if there was somewhere in it that goes over the rights for the seller? As a new seller, I’m hearing a lot about buyers that bully and get free work from sellers after the seller put in a lot of time and energy into a project, that causes your gig to get a bad ding on performance if you don’t bent to their tacktacts. Trying to get all my ducks in a row to minimize any heartaches that could come up. By chance, do you know of any if fiverr has any mentoring programs? The fiverr forum is pretty amazing with so much great content to digest, a wee bit overwhelming to be honest. Thank you once again for your time and advice. Dean

Yes it should help if there is any dispute/charge-back and CS need to look at it if everything’s on the order page I think. You could also refer to it and screenshot it and maybe show to CS/the buyer if there was an issue. It might make it easier to prove you did everything originally asked.

There’s no mentor programme currently as far as I know. If you look at the level help, level 2 and TRS have eligibility for customer success programme where a success manager might “help you grow your business and optimise your account” (if you get a success manager) though. I think i’ts actually TRS who are most likely to get them (Fiverr Pro probably have something like it too).
