Buyer Ordering Without Contacting First

Don’t you just hate when people order but don’t contact you first?

They always tend to order the Basic Package but request way more than what the Basic offers, and then you are screwed because if you ask for a cancellation, it’s your statistics that go down. What do you do in these situations? Is there a way to forbid buyers to order before contacting?

Is there a way to forbid buyers to order before contacting?

No, there isn’t. The idea of Fiverr was for buyers to browse the available gigs, choose what they like, place the order, and get what they ordered. “Service as a product”, “Browse, buy, done!” and all that.

You can politely explain that what they’ve ordered costs more and send them a custom extra from the order page to cover the additional cost.

If that doesn’t help and they refuse to pay, you can try contacting Customer Support and asking them to cancel the order without affecting your stats.
