Is adult video editing is banned on fiverr?

I’m aware of the whole adult services not being allowed, like taking nude pictures of yourself and sending it, but what about erotic stories?

I think there are a good number of gigs that offers such services.

A few years ago I was asked if I can translate a website that was adult in nature,

I actually checked with the CS staff if it was OK for me to translate the site and at least

back then with that particular staff, I was told that there is no problem. :thinking:

Create a regular gig for editing services, then tell buyers that you don’t discriminate. Also, use keywords that get you those customers, even if your gig description is squeaky clean.

Just make sure nothing controversial ends up in your live portfolio.

If you see a buyer request, respond to it. Have you actually seen those buyer requests? Sometimes they get removed by Fiverr.

I’d say no to this and also advise that you turn down any adult orientated video editing work.

There are far too many things which can go wrong. My concern would be that adult entertainment is a booming industry with billions in revenue. For a film company to turn to a budget editor on Fiverr, I’d suspect something fishy. It’s also not like you would have any way to verify the age of actors in a video or that a video is the property of the person ordering from you.

If you want to offer a service like this, I would advise that you reach out to people in the industry or post an ad on a classified site. If I was Fiverr, I would close a gig like this down in a heartbeat due the possible PR Armageddon if you were ever found to have worked on something dodgy.

(are people gonna assume that I am from Greek because of my name?) and it’s not that the seller was intending on selling adult materials, he just wanted to check if it’s a problem if he was asked to edit such videos. True, he should have read the TOS a bit more carefully, but it seems like you were throwing in religion for no reason, and again, it was based on a guess. That might be enough to tick someone off, and he snapped back. Understandably so, in my personal opinion. I don’t think he saw it as an advice, it was more like you shoved your opinion into this forum when it had nothing to do with the OP’s question.

I’ve actually gotten a clear cut answer about this in the past from support. The short answer is no. Anything with nudity or working with nudity is a big no.

Especially since, as @cyaxrex pointed out, any such request on Fiverr would be suspicious, and since it would be impossible to be sure that the actors aren’t minors, meaning child pornography (and child abuse, and…).
