Buyer is very annoying, New additions with every new revisions

Hi,
I have this buyer now, which i got from Buyer request.
He is annoying a bit.
He is asking for additional changes to a Logo, am totally OK with revisions (Unlimited) as i have put that.

But he is coming asking for new design elements(with completely new design) to add in the Logo with every revision.
Thing is He is not even bothering to tell me properly what exactly he wants.
In 1st revision he asks for something else, and then in 2nd revision something else.

Also he’s even online and not replying to my queries, just wrote in Revision “Description” that “as you did not Design what i want, am making it easier”? What easier? I don’t understand at all , he’s not even replying and then later replies with “If you’re not capable of doing it, let me know”
And then again not replying.

I also see his history and reviews he got before.
Total 5
Three-5/5
Two- 1/5 (sellers are like literally crying in their reviews)

What should i do now?
Is there any possibility to get it cancelled from CS.
Because i cant afford any bad review now.

(Am frustrated, sorry for any grammatical mistakes 😣)

Ask customer support and cancel the order, there are some people that think that they have bought the freelancer himself not his services,

You do not have to put up with such buyers.

Be polite yet firm while communicating with such buyers. Let them know that revisions are only meant for changes required in the work that was already provided (and not for new elements to be added).

Tell them that they are more than welcome to request for an extra or a new order if they want new design elements added.

It would be a good idea to send a support ticket to CS ASAP and let them know of this issue you’re having with this particular buyer/order.

If the buyer continues to request for new elements with the order, just keep redelivering the same files (without making any changes to them).

DO NOT DO THAT (sorry for caps). WHY would you even do that? Why would you just give away the hard work you did for free? That’s not a good suggestion.

Actually i do not wish to work for such buyer, yes i know that i can tell them that it will cost them extra, but what after even if they do pay extra?

Also am scared as how long he’s gonma take it, as seeing his history and reviews from Previous Buyer, as i said before, they are literally crying.

That’s entirely up to you. But, if I were in your place, I wouldn’t do that. Why should I give away my hard earned money for free?

This simply is not true. It might be true if a significant percent of your reviews are negative. If, however, you receive a negative review only once in a while, it should not matter at all. Even when you receive a negative review, you now have the ability to respond to your customers’ reviews and explain your side of the story. This can be a game-changer!

This simply is not true. It might be true if a significant percent of your reviews are negative. If, however, you receive a negative review only once in a while, it should not matter at all. Even when you receive a negative review, you now have the ability to respond to your customers’ reviews and explain your side of the story. This can be a game-changer!

I’ll be honest i already knew you will say that but still ratings matter for me!

well it probably is a good suggestion , it’s better to avoid a bad review than to waste your time and…receive a bad review in the end but that’s only my opinion

This kind of thinking (cancelling at the hint of the possibility of a bad feedback) brought us the situation that we’re in now: every cancellation counting against the seller, and bad buyers knowing that they can bully sellers into giving them their work for free.

I have opened up a ticket for this tiny issue, as i can’t afford any bad reviews, i know i gave quite a good time to it, also i believe this is the Best Logo i designed in a while, feel so bad it getting wasted.

But currently going below 4.8 is something i can’t afford.
What has to happen will happen, lets see.

Good idea. I would have done the same. It’s a loss and it’s unjust, but it’s just not worth the stress, time and resources. Buyers like this are never satisfied and cancelling sends a message to them that this behavior is not okay, so that’s valuable. That’s the way I choose to look at it when I have to cancel for a similar reason. It’s his own fault that his project is delayed and he has to find a new seller.

this kind of thinking is healthy when he has only around 30 reviews , one bad review and his rating is going to hit the floor , it’s part of the job , most of the clients are great but then there are a few like the ones he described , i’m here since 2013 and unfortunately this is how it goes and at the moment we can’t do anything about it

also this kind of thinking made me to remain a top rated seller after the new evaluation system … so who knows maybe this kind of thinking is actually better , if a client is serious he is always going to cooperate with you if not … well bad luck

I get that, but don’t let it ruin your day. If you let bad buyers ruin your day, you are pretty much guaranteeing you’ll be unhappy. Don’t let unscrupulous activity dictate your happiness, which will also hurt the quality of your work for others. There are major jerks out there. You deal with it, take a deep breath and move on.

if you sent the files uncompressed on the order page , the watermark is going to remain there unless he accepts the order

Though you said you were okay with unlimited revisions, I think reducing it to the amount you wouldn’t mind doing even if they were adding new elements to the design would help make this less likely to happen again. You could also make extra revisions chargeable (eg. up to 5 free revisions then more are chargeable).

Well i have a update.

He himself marked it to dispute and wants to cancel now.

Just look at his attitude.

I delivered in order page itself, hope he doesn’t get my work for free.

you should ask support to cancel the order without affecting your stats , that could also work , it doesn’t hurt to try
