Orders completed? No reviews left?

Recently got few orders completed. No reviews left. 😪

We can’t ask our buyer to leave us a review.

The End. 😅

Recently got few orders completed. No reviews left. 😪

As you already know, buyers are not required to leave reviews. Consider a review a nice bonus to a job well done. Whether you gain a review or not, you still get paid – and that’s the most important thing about being a freelancer.

It’s a good thing that sellers aren’t allowed to do this for two reasons:

It motivates a biased review because the buyer is pressured and may say things they wouldn’t otherwise, too. Bias is wrong because it serves the person receiving the review, not the prospective clients who see the reviews. Reviews are for buyers, not sellers.

Think about how annoying it would be for a buyer to be hustled for a review. It’s important to put yourself in their shoes and stop focusing on what you want.

If you want reviews, improve your business and don’t feel entitled. Entitlement will prevent you from getting sales. You aren’t a victim and you can improve things if you work at it.

That’s true, but if the review count increases that will also increase the status of the seller and will have more order for the seller. Think you completed 100 orders and have only 10 reviews. Buyers don’t see how many you’ve completed, they only see how many reviews are there. make sense? 😁

Suggestion : if buyer also see how many orders a particular seller has been completed, problem solved. 🙂

Reviews are a bonus. You earn them by delivering work that people want to tell others about. You do not need a review on every order in order to earn more sales.

Think you completed 100 orders and have only 10 reviews.

That sounds great to me. I would be thankful for those ten reviews.

Buyers don’t see how much you’ve completed, they only see how many reviews are there. make sense?

Buyers don’t need to see everything you’ve completed. If you’re a great seller, even with a few reviews, buyers will consider hiring you. Show your work. Sell your skills. A portfolio can go a long way. Reviews are not a success currency, they are a bonus.

You can’t say like this. Every people is different. This is just your opinion and how you gonna act when you hire someone. 🙂

Portfolio is good if every seller can have one. 😉

Yes. They will get the idea that reviews are voluntary, and you don’t need them on every order.

Case closed.

It’s the buyers choice whether they want to leave review or not. Getting a review feels great and it can be inspiring but it’s up to buyer and they are not obligated to do it.

100% agree. but i revealed it’s negative side to seller. If you get 100 orders and have 100 reviews on it. That’s fantastic when compared you have 10 reviews over 100 completed orders. Rating is what the buyers are attracted to most of the time (I personally go for rated sellers because that way my time will not waste.). I know that buyers are not obligated to leave seller a review and I’m 100% fine with it. 🙂

This is what i’m saying:

If seller A have 100 reviews and 100 orders completed, and B seller have 50 reviews and 110 orders completed. (This kind of a situation will be rare but i get it as an example to explain) If they are offering the same service and both’s previous works are good, i definitely go for seller A. And i think most of buyers also look for seller A, compared to B. but here the most experienced seller is B who hasn’t much reviews. 😉

I don’t agree, buyers wants to see feedbacks the more the better so the important thing to get orders is to provide proofs and 5 stars feedbacks.

is to provide proofs and 5 stars feedbacks

I don’t agree with this either. I’m talking about just a review. not specifically a 5 star review. A buyer always should express their unbiased view of the service they get as review.

I think your main concern should be whether you were able to satisfy your buyers with a delivery that would make them come back for more of your services. Reviews are completely at the buyers’ will - to give or not to give - so have no reason to get bothered unnecessarily.
