Thumbnail Question

Hi everyone!
I am a new comer, I have no client, buyer yet.
my gig’s category is photoshop editing, background removal
but something in my head is…
“is it okay to pick some free images on internet as the thumbnail? (no licence)”
because it’s gonna be a trouble if i should pay for the thumbnail while i have no client yet 😅
and that question is also my reason why I use images from my laptop as my thumbnail gigs.
Im planing to use free images from internet if it allowed
