Mistakenly write my email address in chat

Hi.
I mistakenly write my email address while chatting with client on fiverr. The client want to share e-book to do his work and I while in half sleep I send him my email. It’s only first time I send email or violate the fiverr TOR. I got some balance in my fiverr account. Should I withdraw all my amount or is it OK for the first time. Will fiverr block my account for only one mistake?

It’s not ok not for the first time neither for the second.

It’s not a small mistake and you kind of need to go out of your way to do it. You know sending your email violare TOS, while you were writing your message system highlighted the whole box in red and gave you a message not to share your email address (which is hard to miss eve if you are half asleep) but you still decided to ignore it and now when your message probably got flagged for moderation you started freaking out.

It depends on the fiverr support after they’ll review your message. They might give you a warning, might block your account or might do nothing.

On your place I would’ve send a follow up message to a buyer saying something like “however it’s against Fiverr TOS to communicate outside of fiverr so please send your manual here” and hope that it will save you.

Mistakenly?

You accidentally dropped something on your keyboard and it bounced around enough to type in your email address?

Come on. You knew what you were doing.

You just realized the mistake part afterwards and now are looking for a solution.

So let’s recap:
You knew the rules, broke them and now you want to avoid consequences.

Hm.

I didn’t get any warning and my mesaage has not been flagged by fiverr. I realized my mistake soon after I send the message. Can you people help me to in this difficult situation. It wasn’t sent intentionally. Honestly, why would I let Fiverr to block my account by intentionally violating the TORs.

I already gave a “solution”, did you even read it?

It’s ToS not ToR.

And what’s done is done.

Just read the rules and don’t break them.

Intentionally or not, you send it. If Fiverr took action against it you have nothing to defend. For now, you can do 3 things

  1. send a follow-up msg, mentioning that not to communicate with you outside of Fiverr or ask him to send all further msg through Fiverr.

  2. Not to reply to his mail, if he reaches you through your mail

  3. Not repeat this mistake in feauture.

What will happen to your account is a decision to be take by fiverr CS. There is no control over anyone even you say something or do somthing to prevent what is going to happen. If they will not block your account, Just remind not to do it again. That’s it you can do as far as i know about fiverr. Their rules are strict. 🙂

I don’t see how you can “mistakenly” do that if you know the rules. Your phone mistakenly fell on the keyboard and by accident typed your email address and then jumped over again to press enter button to send the message?
