I’m a content writer and I want to build my portfolio as most of the clients prefer to have a look at previous writings before they come in agreement with the freelancer. So, here my question is, can I upload my delivered work (writings) on my portfolio which is on WordPress to refer it to my new potential clients. I’m asking this in regard to the copyrights issue.

You are ONLY allowed to do that if you have express permission from each of those buyers whose work you’re planning on adding to your portfolio.
