Difference between Impressions & Views?

Can anyone tell me or share some article, what is the difference between impressions and views?

Impressions are gathered when your gig appears in search results page.
Views, I think, is when your gig is viewed not from the search results page, e.g. if you share your gig’s link here, and I click it, that’s a view.
