Among all others, I love the latest feedback system! :star_struck:

At first, I did not like it. However, now that we can review the buyer twice, I think I am in love with it too! 😍

Just yesterday I had a buyer insult me and my work. :roll_eyes:He went as far as accusing me of not living where I do and stating I must be from an island nation in the Pacific ocean. Then he asked me if I wanted to cancel or get an “it won’t be good” rating. I answered that I would take the rating. 🤨

He pressed the cancel/dispute button five times, and so did I. I sent a letter to CS concerning the threat and I am waiting on their answer. :thinking:

I’m so, so sorry. Vickie. That’s awful. Personally, I just cancel. I know that’s unjust and it probably hurts financially (as well as your cancellation rating), but it’s not worth the stress, in my opinion, and a poor review will hurt you more than the impact of a cancellation rating.

That being said, you can defend yourself in response to a review and I think a lot of buyers take reviews with a grain of salt, anyway.

What if a buyer is not basically terrible but just annoying? How would you guys rate them? If they express a lot of negative unwarranted comments as you are working on their order and afterwards that have nothing to do with anything you did or didn’t do that made them a pain to have to respond to constantly?

For example they may say “Are you done yet?” Even though it’s been less than 24 hours since the order started. Or they say after about ten hours “Are you sure you can do this?” for no reason. Things like that. Thankfully it doesn’t happen often to me but when it does it’s annoying and it’s usually not just one comment like those, but several.

I hire you, I give you instructions. You deliver. I rate you. Now it’s your time to rate me.

How can you do that? You don’t know if I liked your work, you don’t know what I wrote. What will you write?

That’s not the point of the new review system, though. This isn’t the old response-review format anymore. Now, the buyer rates and reviews their experience with you, and you rate and review your experience with the buyer. Blind honesty. You don’t need to know whether the buyer liked your work, because Fiverr doesn’t want response-reviews, they want untainted blindly honest reviews by both sides.

Once the blind uninfluenced reviews are shared, then you (the seller) have the chance to write a response to whatever the buyer wrote in their review for you. Simple. Effective. Honest.

Suppose you write, “I had a great time with this order” and give me 5 stars.

Then you see that I wrote, “I didn’t like his work, it was terrible, that’s why I didn’t bother asking for a revision.”

There’s nothing wrong with this (as an example), because this is exactly what Fiverr wants – blind, honest, uninfluenced reviews.

Well, I don’t know how to give a blind review, I think the idea is silly, like reviewing a movie before watching a movie.

Not every thing Fiverr does makes sense. For example, I have a buyer who has ordered from me 7 times, twice she has demanded revisions which have led to refunds. Now I’m about to block her, because my order completion rate is 85% and I can’t afford to take my chances with her.

By blocking her, I’ll be blocking income not just for me but for Fiverr, but what choice do I have? Keep refunding until I reach level 0?

Fiverr tries to act like a central planner, and the market is faster than Fiverr, doing things Fiverr never expected or wanted.

The only thing we can do with such buyers is to “Keep Calm and focus on your work.” It’s natural to frown over such messages but if we show the same level of unprofessional-ism by responding to such messages in an awkward way, there will remain no difference between a good seller and a bad buyer.

What is your most favorite update of this year? and which one you hate the most?

Hmm… I guess the one I liked the least was phase 1 of the blind review and the one I liked the most phase 2.

All in all, it was a dynamic and awesome year for me. 🍀

Don’t get angry, your liver suffers and so does your blood pressure. This type of people doesn’t deserve your time, much less your health. Treat them just as an old broken and rusty clock on the wall you’re waiting to put aside.

I’m glad CS did that !!! Sadly, Fiverr has given a long rope to buyers in detriment of sellers and putting a stop on is a rough way and will take long. Hopefully, he will not end well.

I already worked on other websites, but the Brazilian service sites have poor quality and with that, makes difficult and almost impossible to maintain. That’s when I discovered Fiverr this year, and I’m setting up and fixing everything so I can start my work on this platform, which I believe will make me grow professionally, gaining experience around the world.

Does it really matter to the buyer? Even if CS ban his account? He won’t get affected in any way. He will simply sign up again and may do the same with other sellers. 😑

I’d maybe mark it down by one star, but only if it was repetitive. I have on my FAQ that my deliveries tend to be closer to the deadline than not, due to my prioritizing quality over speed. If they are determined to hurry things along, it leads to a lesser quality product.

But that wouldn’t mark them down too much as far as buyers go, and I do think they need to be aware of how they affect the Seller’s productivity by over-communication.

I use Payoneer Card to withdraw my earnings and I always have to pay $3 for immediate load and $1 for normal load. Is it Free for you or you use some other withdraw method?

This year was awesome, new experiences like the change in algorithms, level requirements, service fees, blind review. It was a bit rough at first, but I got used to it and made the mark.
