mucheruelijah
I was responding to a buyer request but I refreshed my browser by mistake. When it finished refreshing all the buyer requests had disappeared. Is that how buyer request behaves or it was a technical problem?
mamun793
Check this out. I HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU. @mucheruelijah 😀 There have been quite a lot of posts recently about low numbers of Buyer Requests. This is a different topic entirely from spam in BR and you can read about that elsewhere, so this is not about that issue. This is not an official statement but I can give out some general information based on what has been observed about Buyer Requests. If this does not resolve your issues, you may try self-promotion instead or contact Support. tadas_puleikis
@mucheruelijah Yes, @lloydsolutions is right. Read that blog post about how to respond. One of my buyer responded to my buyers request offer after 5 days and I was like 12th when submitted offer. He responded because he liked my response to his ad. Ohh, one of other sellers suggestion was to use Grammarly addon for grammar mistakes fix. Personaly, I don’t use it for myself. 🙂

joyh97
I’ve gotten over 500 orders and only 1 has been from buyer requests. It happens, but in my experience it’s kind of rare, because they get a LOT of offers, especially from new sellers trying to build experience, but also from professionals with a lot of experience. So it can be hard to compete with the volume and quality of requests they receive.
humanissocial
Instead of doubting if they work, you should ask if you’re doing it effectively. Most businesses fail if they assume it’s a system’s fault when they don’t achieve their outcome.Look at yourself. Do your research to see how this works.
hum_on_the_go
Hello @mucheruelijah, I did actually send a buyer request for not so long ago, just to try out and see how it works. To my amazement, it worked I did get a positive response, but unfortunately, I had to say no as I am far too busy with other projects… but I can tell you, it works perfectly! You just need to add your experiences, tell them a bit about yourself and why they should hire you. Also, write about their interests and description, so your buyer knows that you have understood what to expect from you, very important. At least this is what I did and received two days later an order. But I had to pass, unfortunately. Good luck!!Best wishesHumberto
a_aladin
I’ve done a few buyer requests, i think the key is really in how you pitch and present yourself. You’re usually competing with quite a few other people so you have to be able to stand out. Never do a copy/paste, speak to the client directly about what you can do for their project, be able to type/converse well, offer a good price and maybe throw in a couple of extras.
