I am an article writer and I am new to this content writing niche. I simply started my gig because I know I have good writing skills. My first client texted me today. He wants an about us and contact us page written. Can any content writers here tell me in which format to you deliver your orders? I wanted to deliver my orders in a MS Word document. As a content writer do I need to update the content on the client’s website? I am not a website developer and I do not know anything about it. Also if a client asks for samples, should I give it to them? I have linked my few unpublished articles which I wrote in my free time, in my description box for my clients to see and assess my writing skills.

I once hire a content writer so their is my two cent,
When i hire content writer i hire that person for writing content not for web development, i got the file i MS-WORD and it was ok, as that i was expecting.

You should be the one to decide what you are willing to offer… Just MS Word docs? Or, are you willing to visit clients’ websites or perhaps, google docs? It is all up to you… Specifying these in your gigs would be a good idea.

Thank you. It was good to know it from a buyer’s point of view.
