I hate to say this… but it will take as long as it takes. Generally, though, you’ll get as much out of Fiverr as you are willing to put into it. So, the more work you do to build your business, the higher your success potential will become.

No one becomes successful by sitting back and doing nothing.

It’s very possible. Many work Fiverr as their only job. They left their day jobs. You should consider adding another gig in another one of your areas of expertise. 5r is saturated with transcription gigs. Not saying you can’t get those gig orders though. I’m new and I’ve gotten a few gig orders already. I’ve changed out some of my gigs and am working on 2 new ones to change out.

In your profile description, consider changing the word awesome with something more professionally descriptive. You also have a missing word in your last sentence, with.

Welcome and I hope you have great success here!

How long does it take to start making money on Fiverr?

How long does it take to start making money on Fiverr?

As others have said, there is no set time. At minimum, you have to get a few orders to get your feet wet and get some reviews. it takes 14-17 days for the funds to clear after you finish an order, so even if you sold something on your first day, you’d need a few weeks to make money.

I looked at your profile and I can give you some feedback if you like. This category isn’t the right category for critiques, so I will try to be cautious and give you general ideas unless you move your post to Improve my Gig. To start with, though, you seem to have only one gig and only one package in that gig. It’s especially difficult to even be seen with one gig and no packages. Buyers will have a hard time finding you by searching for keywords, which is often the best way for them to find you. They will also want to see samples of your work since you are new, so you might have to create a portfolio.

Most sellers get started by selling several different services, often related, and many provide a LOT of work for very little money to get going. They also bid on Buyer Requests and they make sure that their bids are very well written and on target for what that buyer was looking for.

By selling high quality work, delivering fast, and selling cheap you become very appealing to buyers as long as they can find you. You want to deliver to those first buyers like they were paying you a lot more and that may motivate them to leave you good reviews. In time you can making a little spending money every month or much more, but that regular pay usually comes after you have at least 10-25 good reviews.

Thanks fonthaunt! I have created a package and will be posting more gigs. However, where would I create such a portfolio?

it took me about 3 months to get my first order … patience and determination will get you there for sure , just make sure you work hard on your gigs and check in daily to see what works for others and what doesn’t !

Good luck 😉
