abauer5188
This isn’t a rant. And I see all the other service fee threads are closed, and I wasn’t about to spend days reading the personal attacks and circular logic to try and find this answer.I have emailed CS, but I went to place an order today using my personal balance. Money that I’ve earned through gigs and half already paid 20% on, and received another 20% service fee.Is this accurate? Are sellers now forced to pay 40% on their earned income if they want to re-use it to give back to the platform? Not to mention Fiverr now getting 60% because they’re taking 20% more from the seller I’m buying from. That seems like a ponzi scheme to me…I read the ToS:“Service fees are added at the time of purchase where a buyer can review and accept the total amount requested to pay. These fees cover administrative fees. As of May 2018, the current fees assessed to the total purchase amount are $2 on purchases up to $40 and 5% on purchases above $40. When purchasing from your shopping balance (resulting from any credits or refunds) you will not be charged a service fee. Funds returned to your balance from cancelled orders will not include service fees paid.”Not sure what they classify as credits or refunds, but if I read correctly, earlier it says that any refunds will not get the 20% fee reversed, and if credits were money from sales, then 20% has already been removed from that.Am I making any sense? Please tell me that I’m being stupid and that CS will take care of the bug that’s there…P.S. Forum gods I apologize if this is a duplicate thread! offlinehelpers
Sadly it’s not a bug. 😦We do have to pay a service fee now, even if we’ve got a balance from selling, also even though the ToS hasn’t been updated to reflect this.

I paid using my “Personal Balance”. I am confused. I have placed 2000+ orders so far and they never charged service fee. Is fiverr now going to charge sellers as well? Happened to any other seller? [Capture] EDIT: CS said, “Thank you for reaching out to Fiverr Customer Support, where your satisfaction is number one. The new fee is a service charge to allow Fiverr to provide a stable platform for buyers and sellers to work uninterrup…

Any other purchases incl. your Fiverr balance is subject to the processing fee.I was a bit confused too but was able to get confirmation from staff. Hope that clears it up. woofy31
I just heard that besides the $2 service fee charged upon buying a gig, buyers are getting charged another $2 when adding an Extra to the order after the order was placed 😱So it’s critical to add any Extras on checkout, not afterwards, to avoid additional service fees.If this one is not a bug either, then it’s one heck of a scheme! webdevelopers90
It is a bad effect on Seller, Because if buyer order me cost $5 and that jobs is not value of $5, and if we ask from client to for extra then surely the client will refuse to pay extra and surely they will ask for refund,So in the result if we cancelled the order then we will lose the ranking of our gig also our profiles,And if we hire someone else to do it, if they agree to do it with $5, then here is a scenario,We buy gig $5 and we receives only $4, and then we buy it again from another seller that wroth me $7…so it means we lost $3,
