Add Live Portfolio After Gig Completion?

Hi Fiverr community,

I’m fairly new and am excited to share that I eventually finished my first 3 gig orders!
Now, I have a question regarding the “live portfolio” option. I checked it on my gig but hear that it’s up to the buyer to enable it when they accept the gig.
Since I learned this after the fact (i.e. the gigs are already completed), I was wondering if there’s an option for the buyer to enable that feature later on?

I would very much appreciate your help/ feedback on that.
Thank you!

Hi,

First of all many congratulations for completing your order. If the gigs are already completed and buyer has not reviewed yet there is a possibility that Buyer can review it later but Buyer has to Mark on a button “Include it to portfolio” So that It can be visible to your profile.

But if the buyer has already reviewed it with out marking that. Then this option will not be visible to buyer again.

Hope you get your answer.

Thank you,
greetings,
hassnainali

only three days for review after completion of the order.

I think buyers have 30 days after completion to review their order - the order completes automatically 3 days after it’s been delivered. I can see how it would be easy to confuse the two. 🙂

Thank you for your reply, @hassnainali! May I ask how you communicate to the buyer that you would like to have him/ her enable that option. Do you send them a message when submitting the project?

Thanks again!

Thank you - so, I could still reach out to the buyer and ask for a modification of their review?

To be honest I’m not sure. I know that you can ask a buyer to modify their review on a limited number of occasions, but I’m not sure if you can ask them to put their order in your portfolio. There may have been a reason they didn’t want it added in the first place - privacy etc.? 😉

Do you send them a message when submitting the project?

The buyer automatically has a box to check if they want their work in your portfolio when they accept the order, so no need to send a separate message. 🙂

Generally speaking, if your live portfolio is on but your delivery doesn’t show in it, it means that the buyer doesn’t want it there. It is their right.

While you can ask the buyer to modify the review, I’m not sure whether that would also give them the option to put the work in your portfolio; even if it did, if they don’t want it there, they might give you a lower rating for annoying them.

The best idea might be to just let it go, and hope that some of your future buyers will allow the work to stay in your portfolio.

No You shouldn’t go for a modification for a review as it would cause decrease your rank gig in search result. Until or unless you got some negative review.

When you deliver your work the buyer has the option to check or un-check that option. IF buyer checks that option it will appears on seller profile else in not. See link to check how it appears to buyer.

Hello Rashe! The client decides whether to publish the work or not for your portfolio.

Obviously the project was made by you but the client decides whether it is public or not, since in the end, it now belongs to the client.

Good luck!

I see. So It’s depends on my clients? I didn’t knew that. Thank you for your information

Yes, it depends on the client.

It is logical, there are clients who do not want to share their project with everyone, but there are others who do … others who do not know how to do it.

There are others that make you sign a contract so you do not share information, so you know that client will never publish it in your portfolio, LOL

Hello, anyone knows why Live portfolio does not work for me?  my buyer checked that option in my review and my live portfolio is active for the gig but I don't know why both of my orders doesn't display in live portfolio? Isn't there any bug?
