I’ve been sending the buyer request, post my services onto Twitter, and embedded my service sample videos and gig description onto over 190 groups on Facebook but still get no responses…

I am starting to wonder is marketing really works? lol… Everyone says “Oh! You are just lazy to advertise yourself on social media!”

Well! The problem is even one person advertise his service but still getting no where. I really need someone to look at my gigs if there’s something wrong? Appreciated! 😥 I’m not sure if it’s my pricing charging too much but I go through the other sellers who sell the same service with the same animation style, they charge higher price and still get sales. These two gigs I just created this week, perhaps, I need to wait for the result longer?

It works if you’re reaching out the exact people who need your services. Anything else is likely to be ineffective – as you are already seeing. Who are you customers, and where can they be found? Start a new marketing campaign there.

You rarely have to promote yourself. Fiverr rotates gigs nicely, so everyone gets some visibility from time to time. Just need to give it time! But it’s possible you first need to prove that your gig sells before that happens :thinking:

So it’s a good idea to experiment with different promotion methods. Nicest from my experience is to create a blog about your Fiverr services, and do lots of SEO and other marketing for that. But that also is a long term method.

Social networks are quite bad for promotion usually. People are usually there to socialize and be entertained, not to do shopping. But some niches are an exception.

It might be helpful to find out what those who are charging more for the same service but still get clients are doing to gain those clients. As Jonbaas said, marketing works if you’re targeting the right people. Niche marketing. Then, you also have to figure out how to stand out from the “noise”, because if there are those who do the same service as you and they’re getting clients, then what’s the motivation for someone to buy from you instead of them, you know what I mean? So, things to think about 🙂
