Is it safe to asking the Email id during the conversation with Client?

Refer the below Quote from TOS

“Requesting or providing Email addresses, s***e/IM usernames, telephone numbers or any other personal contact details to communicate outside of Fiverr in order to circumvent or abuse the Fiverr messaging system or Fiverr platform is not permitted.”

“All information and file exchanges must be performed exclusively on Fiverr’s platform.”

If you still need the Contact information to complete the project then you should contact CS and ask there permission. For some gigs they allowed to share contact informations depends on the nature of the service.

While reporting what? Anything you need to report to the client should be reported on fiverr. You do not need a client’s email ID to do SEO.

CS means customer support.

Yes, I know … but we have a dedicated support team having 40 50 IT experts and they have their own ecosystem. We have the clients now more than 500+ SEO clients and all they are communicating with via email …and also they send reporting and other formalities as well.

So, in that case, we need the customer email id for reporting and other …

I don’t see how having the email ID of a client would help that though. Why track customers via email accounts on other platforms, rather than their Fiverr accounts? And in that case, the support team would definitely be able to see which email account is associated with which Fiverr account, negating the need for you to ask in the first place.

Fiverr is not geared for that kind of messaging. You will need to find a way to coordinate you team with your fiverr clients going through the fiverr message system.

i have understood your requirement

If you are working as a team and can not give fiver access to every users then you have 2 options.

  1. The account owner should be communicate with clients and share the necessary informations with the team to complete each task and should be submitted by the account owner.

  2. As the way you wish to contact the client with the mail ID with the Fiver Customer Support permission. (if they have not granted permission you have to go with the option 1 only)

You cannot mold Fiverr into your preferred business format. Fiverr is what they are, and you will have to follow their rules if you wish to use their site.

I am not CS, but I can guarantee that Fiverr won’t let you manage your communication with on-site buyers anywhere other than the Fiverr messaging system. Allowing you to manage order communication and project tasks outside of Fiverr hurts Fiverr. Ask CS for “permission” if you must, but I can already hear their answer – and you’re not going to like it.

This doesn’t make sense to me.

You asked whether you could share an email with a buyer here on Fiverr now you say:

We are at sales and we can’t provide them our Fiveer account …

That’s contradictory if you already met them on Fiverr and are already having conversations.

There are lots of sellers with teams who still manage their sales right here on Fiverr.

Just feel like you’re looking for a justification to violate that term.
