All Gigs denied

So if he is going to point out every single other person with a similar gig to his and claim “LOOK, HE’S BREAKING THE RULES TOO!” than he might as well report them.

Or he could focus his energy on something more productive, like coming up with new services.

100% agree. He doesn’t seem to want to do that, though, as he completely ignored the dozens of posts above that explain that very thing so he can rant about how awful Fiverr is treating him personally because some other person writes messages on coconuts.

I made a whole post on that a few hours ago, but I doubt that @jungleguy will read it and take lessons from it. I hope he does though:

I hear a lot of whining from people who have been selling the same gig or two for many years or months on this site, and then either their gigs get removed, they get banned, or their gig impressions for some reason drop. You should NEVER put yourself in a situation where if you lose your gig on Fiverr, you lose your ability to afford food and toiletries. The most important way in which you can avoid this is through diversifying. How do you diversify? Well, to start off, you should diversify y…

Everyone can’t diversity, yesterday I met a guy who asked “how do I write an article” on a Facebook forum about Fiverr. I told him that writing is very hard, that clients expect perfect grammar and spelling in addition to a well-written article, so if that’s what he’s selling, he should sell something else. He obviously doesn’t know how to do it. Worst of all, he already had one order. That stuff hurts Fiverr more than some funny gig only funny people order. Then again, he’ll get bad reviews, so the system self-corrects.

However, under the 4.8 or get demoted philosophy, Fiverr sellers can’t afford to take risks anymore. So your’e better off selling something you already know you can do.

If people choose to spend their free time watching TV or something instead of learning new marketable skills

One Udemy course is not going to turn you into a master graphic designer, illustrator, animator, programmer, etc. Furthermore, if you’re not making money, you can’t afford to take courses.

Ironically, I don’t disagree with diversifying, if anyone can do it they should do it, but not everyone can.

Worst of all, he already had one order.

This is sad for the buyer. Someone is selling his writing ability and has to ask how to write an article. I hope he figures that out fast for his buyer’s sake.

the new Fiverr ToS policy

From the ToS:

Gigs may be removed by Fiverr for violations to these Terms of Service, which may include (but are not limited to) the following violations and/or materials:

Illegal or Fraudulent services

Copyright Infringement, Trademark Infringement, and violation of a third party’s terms of service reported through our Intellectual Property Claims Policy found here

Adult oriented services, Pornographic, Inappropriate/Obscene

Intentional copies of Gigs

Spam, Nonsense, or Violent Gigs

Gigs misleading to buyers

Reselling of regulated goods

Services that extend beyond 30 days of service duration

I understand that the aforementioned gigs may come under the description ‘but are not limited to’ etc. however it’s very difficult to work out within ‘and everything else we decide but won’t tell you about’ whether any gig is within the ToS or not.

Clarification is needed for all sellers as to what exactly is included in the ToS and what isn’t, otherwise we’re all running scared of having our gigs deleted, no matter whether we think they’re within the ToS or not.

Absolutely correct. Support needs to atleast write down HOW the gig violates the ToS, and not just vaguely quote a non-descriptive rule.
