Any favourite books or resources you can recommend to the wanna-be writers that will inevitably read this thread?

To be completely honest, I’m not a huge reader. I’ve read most of the big stories that everybody talked about when I was younger, but because of the way school treats reading, it makes reading more of a stressful thing than an enjoyable past time. Nonetheless, here are some of the books that did inspire me to start writing awhile back

• Hunger Games Series
• Percy Jackson Series
• Harry Potter Series
• The Giver

I am only 15 so a lot of the books I read that actually had an impact on me I read when I was 9 or 10. But, the book “To Kill a Mockingbird”-- while it is slightly controversial because of the heavy topics it focuses around-- is very inspiring and it makes you think a lot. It can be boring at the beginning but as it moves forward in the storyline things become more interesting and I actually suggest reading it. It is one of the only books I actually enjoyed reading as an assignment.
