Why buyers are so selfish?

Most of your gigs are expensive, that’s not good when you have no reviews.

I never raised my prices much above $5 or $10 until I had over 2000 reviews.

Now I see newcomers in my category asking $80 with no reviews which I find amazing but they are welcome to try at least.

I never raised my prices much above $5 or $10 until I had over 2000 reviews.

Exactly, you’re old school like me, you believe things should be earned instead of just showing up thinking one is entitled to $50, $100, $1,000, etc.

Well, I didn’t think anyone would pay more unless it was overwhelmingly shown that my credentials were above average. And they are, although from the nervous questions I get it seems that the average potential buyer STILL can’t tell that I’m really good.

Geez, can’t they see what is right in front of them?

I wish I could further edit my gigs to drive home that point but it hits at my impressions too much.

I think $30 for this is too much:

“I Will Do 90 Unique And Relevant Pr10 SEO Backlinks On Da100 Sites”

Why not do 5 or 10?

Making money on Fiverr is about volume sales, not individual sales. Most of your gigs are expensive, that’s not good when you have no reviews.

You should consider creating a niche gig for backlinks, like this guy with 3 orders in his queue.

I Will Give You High Da Vape Backlinks

Or follow this example:

I Will Help You Rank Higher In Google With My High Pr SEO Contextual Backlinks

For $5 with one day delivery, she’s doing: “50 Contextual Backlinks Do Follow High PR Premium Social Networks High Authority”

Her other packages are $15 and $85, and she has 8 in her queue. She’s also a Top Rated Seller.

Search “backlinks” and see what you find.

I want to thank you for this dashing suggestion like a good teacher! :star_struck:… I am luck to have kind peoples like you muaaah 😍

Buyers are unpredictable. I look at my competitors and this happens.

  1. They charge more and get more orders
  2. They charge less and get more orders
  3. They have few orders
  4. They have no orders

Besides, we’re all selfish, you should read Ayn Rand, we’re all looking for our self-interest. What do you think buying a car is about? It’s not about helping the car salesman although if he helps you find the perfect car, he’ll benefit his bottom line. But if the car salesman is too greasy, too pushy, if he’s annoying, then he’ll lose that sale.

I remember wanting to buy a Honda Civic and being disappointed at how expensive they were. $20,000 for the cheapest new one, and it didn’t even have leather seats. My car salesman suggested a used HR-V with 10,000 miles, leather seats, navigation, rearview camera, for $17,000. So I ended up with a car I absolutely like. My point is the seller adapted to his situation, he knew he wasn’t going convince me on the Civic so he found an alternative.

Fiverr is the same way. If buyers aren’t buying at your price point, either adjust the offer or adjust the price. Maybe you’re doing too much or too little. I will make changes until either the orders come or stop coming.

perfect solution 🙂

Yes you are right dude I am also depressed! 😥

I am also depressed!

You’re a digital marketing specialist yet you get depressed when you aren’t making sales. You should be teaching us how to sell our services online not the other way around.

I’m glad that you feel better now after a few suggestions, but maybe freelancing in this niche is not the right choice for you. I mean you’ve been on this platform almost a year and you haven’t made any sales. Either you’re not putting enough effort into this or it’s not really your area of expertise.

Health comes first, so next time you get depressed consider exploring other opportunities.

Well said brother! I am Digital Marketing Specialist I usually rank my all gigs but buyers are not satisfied with me they are always telling me negotiate the price they are unable to understand the quality of work that’s why I am depressed in this platform because just behavior of buyers they just want their work in cents or pies but you know high quality work should be expensive!

they are unable to understand the quality of work

It’s your job to make them understand the value you bring to their business. Your services are worth what buyers are willing to pay.

So, either you need to improve your sales pitch or adjust your pricing to get a chance to prove your services are worth more than $5. There’s no reason to get depressed over this.

What buyers? Why not offer your services for $5 to get a review or two at least?

It is too hard to understand them you should try that things I think they are brain less sometimes that is why they are not understand between quality or quantity 😕

When you start, as @misscrystal rightly said, you need to price your gigs low to get reviews. @fastcopywriter gave you some great advice on how to do this, as did @uxreview

I’ve been here for a while, but I’m quite happy starting all my gigs at $5 - I get some sales, and it keeps me out of mischief.

Now you’ve got two choices - go with the advice you’ve been given, or carry on not getting any sales so you can come here and moan about it. It’s up to you. 😉

Hint - Fiverr is for doers, not whingers.

Buyers love it when sellers call us names. 😍

It lets us know how classy and professional the sellers are . . .

You have great gigs, you can try increasing raising your prices by $5, in every gig where you have at least 10 reviews.

I’m curious about one thing.

“I Will Personalize 5 Animated Locksmith Videos”

Why 5? Why not just one? I will personalize 1 Animated Locksmith Video" or 2 so the client can choose one and reject the other?

Either way, your niche approach is very smart. Those who search “restaurant/locksmith/etc videos” are more likely to find you.

Are you aware that buyers read this thread, and that you keep insulting them?

You say that you’re a digital marketer. Is this your marketing approach? Insulting your prospects, and then thinking that it will motivate them to want to buy from you?

i can assume from the way you talk you are either a level 2 or top rated seller

I started as a new seller. It’s odd but not once did I ever have to beg.

Why would you think you need to beg anyone? I’ve seen a lot of new sellers come on the forum and immediately start having sales every day!

They never had to beg. If someone feels they need to beg something is wrong.
