If your sales suddenly drop

Man… It sounds good, but that’s so no sens. Everything in this world has its own laws and rules, studying and creating them, we are developing as humanbeing. Nothing happens without a reason. If my sales falls, then I want to find out why, to eliminate the reasons. Constantly working on the reasons for which you lose sales, you also develop. If my rankings goes down I want to now why, if my competitors made best offer, I want to find out how exactly and to impove my offer to make it even more valuable or unique. If that’s seasonable reasons, then I want to know when this season starts and ends, and be prepared for this period. That’s how it works in my view, and that means to compete.

I am facing strange situations, I am getting orders, as my gig is in the first page of my niche and the next day it disappears. I don’t even find it in the first 10 pages. I deliver an order then it comes to first page again and again it gets lost. Kinda mysterious.

I wish, I could know why such keeps happening 🙂

Impressions & Views has dropped since end Nov. Didn’t edit my gig much but I suspect something is not right as its the worst in my history in Fiverr 🙂

It happened to me few months ago. Then I realized I wasn’t on the search using my keywords. I’d to contact CS for assistant…it took 48hrs to restore my gig on search again and now my impressions, clicks and views are on the rise. I pray I start racking up orders as usual. Cheers

You can try editing your gigs,

Fake news, this has literally never worked for me or anyone I know. Besides that, the rest is pretty spot-on. This has been my best month this year.

This is working for me though. When I improve my gig image, there is a noticeable views, impressions spike happening. And it become stable after some fluctuations. It is way better than the stats which I had before. Hence got ranked in a better position.

I too facing…, I am not getting orders since one month. Not even single person approaching me at all

Not even single person approaching me at all

Then YOU need to go find THEM. Stop waiting for things to happen for you, go make them happen yourself. You’re in business. Treat your gigs as such, and you will likely obtain orders. You can’t expect to sit back and do nothing, and expect success. Success comes to those to work for it.

If you haven’t been receiving any customer interest, then you have NOT been working hard enough. Sharing your gig – I assume on social media – is not going to help you gain sales. Those are your friends that you are connected to on social media. Are your friends also your customers? Spamming your friends on social media sites is NOT going to lead to business success.

Like I said, that isn’t going to do you any good unless the people you are sharing your gigs to are the people who need your services? There are no cheap and easy ways to gain customers.

Then how do i improve my sales.

You improve your sales by reaching out to your customers and convincing them to hire you.

For me, a drop in sales is a time to step back, look at my gigs and improve them. No matter how perfect you may think they are, they aren’t. Fix your gig video and make a new one (you DO have a video, right?), and take a look at your gig description from your buyer’s point of view. Are you REALLY the BEST ________in the entire history of humanity? If you aren’t, maybe you should adjust that?

Are your clients native English speakers? Have you had someone proofread your gig description? It may be worth having paying someone or working out a trade deal with someone to do your video, voice over, gig description, etc. This is your business, and you have to invest time, money and effort.

My point here is that your drop in sales is an OPPORTUNITY. Do some maintenance and clean your house (I mean this figuratively as I haven’t seen your place 😎) Read marketing articles for your field here on Fiverr and elsewhere…there is a wealth of knowledge out there waiting for you. It is in moments of difficulty where you find out if this is right for you.

I wish you all much success!

Cheers from Cancún!

A drop in sales is definitely a time for MAINTENANCE AND CLEANUP… I did experience no order at all for about a month then I did what you just suggested BOOM! Sales are coming in again. I will always say a big thank you to all that contribute on this community.

@jonbaas I think you should really stop giving out this advice cause the last time I checked I couldn’t even share my fiverr link with potential clients on LinkedIn cause of some very obvious reasons that you might indirectly be encouraging.

It’s great advice BUT ya know where I’m going with this, right?

You are assuming that the only place to promote your services is on social media. Promotion – wherever your customers are located – is ALWAYS a good idea. 😉

You know that, I know that but someone else reading it might not and in most cases they don’t.

Again, it’s great advice but the way certain people put it into action does more harm than good.

If nothing workout then deactivate your current account and make a new account work hard and do marketing your gigs every possible way to reach the targeted buyer. I think dont let go your effort that you put in previous time. coz life always should get a second chance. Work Hard, Keep Patience, stick with your dream carrier. Thanks for share the post. Its Useful and Informative.
