An idea for a new gig

I’ve ordered dozens of writing gigs the past two months and still need to order several dozen more. Most of these articles are factual where I could use a fact checker.

There is no gig where someone is offering to fact check an article or non fiction work. I thought, if some of you are really great with research you may also be good with this.

Just an idea for those of you looking for something different.

I can only find three gigs with fact check in the title, so it does seem like an under-represented niche. No reviews on any of them, though one of them is from a seller who only started this month.

I found zero. I have to search again.

Last month, I had an article written that the seller wrote something incorrect about a certain topic, I knew it because I’m a fictional writer.

If I didn’t know it was wrong, I could have published the incorrect info.

It would save me valuable time if I can hire someone to do fact checking for me.

• Face changer
• Fatc clanger

I have been thinking about how a seller would create this gig. Would it be by the words like in an article? Alternatively, would it be by the number of facts? I fact check as I write non-fiction because I do not want it to be published as fact when it is not. However, fact-checking does take time, and some articles could have many facts to check, and others could have only a few. Hmm, I need to think about this gig. :thinking:

I just typed in "fact, " and some different types of fact gigs popped up. You could book a gig for Facts About Jamaica, of a Funny Fact, or Fact-check your Historical Novels of various genres. It appears that for the fact-checking of articles and novels, the gig is for time spent researching. ex, $5 for 15 minutes of work. 🤑
