Hmm. Not bad for a business that was about to go bankrupt some 20 years ago.

"Apple Inc’s shares rose to a record high on Friday as more analysts set a trillion-dollar valuation on the company, following a blowout fourth quarter and an upbeat forecast that quashed investor concerns around the iPhone X.

The stock rose as much as 3.7 percent to $174.26, briefly breaching $900 billion in market value, amid declines in the broader market. The gains added nearly $32 billion to the company’s market capitalization."

Amazon is $535 bn, Facebook is $519 bn, Google is $723 bn, Microsoft is $649 billion, even our own Reliance Industries Limited is $100 bn…stock markets are on fire all over the world. Bitcoins hit $7000 as well. Ethereum will be the next Bitcoin. People/companies/nations are getting richer. Focus on work/ building wealth, forget the rest of the nonsense. [i wrote an article today on how had you invested $10,000 in Amazon IPO in 1997 your investment would now be worth $4.96 million.]

Yes! There are quite a good number of companies playing at this level and it is only a matter of time one will cross the $1T mark. What surprised me is the fact that this historic moment arrived this soon. It’s like in 6 months or even before the turn of this year, who knows?

Stock markets are sky-rocketing and companies floating in high valuations. Not sure if everything is good about this, though. It increasingly appears more and more wealth is getting into fewer hands.
