Hi,
I am a new seller. I want to know about attractive gig writing. Please help me.

Thanks

Are you saying that you lack creativity, and don’t know how to write well?

If so, you’re going to have to figure those things out on your own. We are not going design your gig or write your gig copy for you. Please take responsibility for your own gigs. YOU need to figure out what your gig will look like. It is not our job to do your work.

You can try typing in “gig description” in the search box and you will find a good number of sellers that offers that service. That’s a start. If you want a good description, you will need to pay for it, and if you are serious about doing business here, I’m sure it’s worth paying for.

You are so harsh, or I am just think you are.

However maybe you just can gave him “less words” and more helpful than these.

He asked kindly about “help” and your comment wasn’t at all.

Not everyone is like you don’t forget that.

Allow me to hop in, this is just my personal opinion; as much as I can understand that you think jonbass is coming across as being harsh, at the same time what he’s saying sounds quite true to me. Is he “helping” in a way where he is giving the OP a guiding light and showing him every single steps he needs to follow, no. But it seems to me that he is making him become more aware of what he needs to do rather than just saying help. The OP claims to be a professional and a specialist. I believe he should know what makes his gig look attractive to people who are looking for the service in his field, and even though he might have some trouble with English, from his short comment you can’t ( well, at least I didn’t) sense that he is really trying to reach out for help in a serious and dedicated matter, and maybe that’s what made jonbass leave that comment.

If he is having trouble with English and therefore his post if very short and I get that, but I do believe he can at least put in more time to point out exactly what kind of help he needs and pinpoint the problems he is having.

I’ve seen a lot of people here whose English is their second language, but I’ve seen a lot of them really try to get their point across and adding the necessary details to get the help they want.

I guess I’m just shoving my own values and opinions into people’s faces, but I would still expect a professional to act a professional way and simply saying help doesn’t seem so to me…

I respect your opinion and jonbass opinion too, and everyone have their own opinions.

You must be able to convince buyers in some manner. Either your writing, photos, or a video describing your gig.

Get good at all three (one at a time). Practice writing for 30 days in a row. Practice on Canva for 30 days in a row. Practice videoing yourself for 30 days in a row.

Practice!!.. we talking about practice. It’s how you get good at something. And no one likes it!

I am not harsh at all. I am merely a voice for common sense and reason. The OP was asking for someone to tell him step-by-step how to be successful with his gig. He, however, has the responsibility to learn that on his own. Fiverr already offers the resources that answer this question, no one on this forum needs to do the OP’s work for him.

If he doesn’t want to work hard to learn how to be successful, that is his own choice. He will not become successful without responsibility and a desire to do the work necessary to achieve that success. If he is serious about writing great copy on his gig, he’ll learn how to do it. It is HIS copy to write, not ours. We will not do his work for him.

This is a great place for the OP to start:

And thank you for hopping in, @zeus777 . I agree with you 100%. 🙂

Where did you saw he wants “step-by-step” help? I guess you thought he want that because I didn’t see that at all.

no one on this forum needs to do the OP’s work for him.

I guess you are over-judging here.

Fiverr already offers the resources that answer this question

Totally agree with that, but maybe he wants more information because he didn’t understand it, don’t forget about “individual differences” if we are all the same all of us would be equally successful.

We will not do his work for him.

He didn’t say he want that.

Overall I respect your opinion.

😄jobaas be sweet to the guy. Anyway, to my understanding @armanimtiaz might be unfamiliar with the basics on Fivver. Someone should just explain to him the basics, but if he needs more than that, then he has to go deeper to his pocket to get exactly what he needs.

There is a time to be sweet, and there is a time to be honest, straightforward, and direct. This thread is not about sweetness. As much as it may frustrate some people (perhaps yourself included), many new sellers need tough love, not sweetness and coddling.

Someone should just explain to him the basics

The basics are freely available for anyone to read in the link that I have shared. He can start there by reading – for himself – how to start his career here on Fiverr. If he has specific questions after that – after he has taken responsibility for his own success and learning – then we here on the forum will be more than happy to assist.

Fiverr is not a charity. Hard work – hard research – is required.

@selfors did a better version of being sweet. Anyhow, everyone have their own opinion so people should not be judged in any way or describe!
