How to make first sell?

Im new here and i need help… I am on site about 3 days and i didnt make any sell yet. What i need to do to make first sell, please someone tell me because i have time and everything and only thing i dont have is money… So thanks for every reply 🙂

Have a look at the Fiverr Academy. It’s the only useful source, as on the forum you will get overwhelmed because there is a lot of advice made by people who don’t receive orders themselves. Don’t ask me why, but that is like it is.

Improve your English skills. Get a dictionary and find out that ‘sale’ is the word you are looking for.

Three days is nothing. You might have to be patient for three months until your gig catches on. Don’t expect instant wealth, riches or money here on Fiverr. That’s not going to happen – especially if you’re not willing to work hard to EARN your profits. You’re gigs are a business. Treat them as such if you wish to be successful. The people who work hard, earn success. The people who sit back and wait for success to come to them for free, never find it.

You might want to go through this list:

1. Did you spend a LONG time creating your gigs?
   DID YOU check other successful seller’s gigs, their descriptions, their sample images etc and get a clear idea of what a “good gig” is supposed to look like?

2. Did you double check your gig description, made sure there are no grammar errors, spelling mistakes, etc?

3. ARE YOU SURE you are good at what you are providing?

4. Are the gig descriptions/ sample images yours?? Or did you simply STEAL them?

5. DID YOU READ EVERYTHING???

Unless you can honestly say yes to all of this, you’re gonna have a hard time getting your first sale.

Um, thank you for thanking me but you obviously have not followed my advice since you are still using logos that don’t belong to you.

Keep in mind that smart buyers will always check if the sample images are original or not.

The sample image of “Wolfpack construction” logo is a triple copy/paste of the Wolfpack Trooper symbol from Star Wars. I’m a Star Wars fan BTW.

Also the bearded man I believe is an image from Shutterstock.

To be fair it doesn’t say anywhere in your description that your designs are all original, but using Wolfpack which I am sure is a copyrighted image seems to me like very bad idea.

The message is that if you want success on fiverr the way to do it is to actually be a designer with your own designs.

One thing to understand is how much competition there is. I calculated that there are around 700,000 sales every month on Fiverr (based on info on the front page when logged out), while there are 3 million sellers supposedly. Simple math shows that most sellers make no sales each month. I have been on the site since September 18th this year, and I have two sales so far (from the same person). I have nothing since 1st of October, my impressions are near-zero most days. I think I need to expand my gigs and offer writing, not just proofreading and editing. Even then, anyone can start a gig, and the supply of labour is much higher than the demand for it. Maybe try other sites too to increase your chance of getting started.

You asked a question and are being given a good answer. It’s your own decision to ignore some good valuable information you are being given.

Yes if it takes 3 hours to do something then DO IT. You want to know how to make sales.

I know exactly what you mean. I see this everywhere now.

People have been misled terribly it seems like that just because they want something and do the very least possible they will get everything they want. And no amount of explanation will get it across that they need to put in a lot more time and effort and thought and sweat to get it.

This is not a slight against you personally. I’m sorry if it came across as such.

I just want you to know that you are in the freelancing game with 3 million other people. You need to work to stand out and earn your corner of the market.

Unlike in sports, Fiverr doesn’t “bench” sellers who aren’t selling (thankfully), but that’s what could happen. Take advantage of your time in the market, advertise yourself outside of Fiverr.

I hope he does get rid of that logo ( it seems like he hasn’t changed them yet BTW), being a nerd I know how nerds react to certain things…if I was able to notice the Wolfpack, any nerd can, and if a group of SW fans saw that…well, things can get ugly.

Aside from that, this whole thing really made me realize that I’m nerdier than I thought, hahahaha.

Even though I love SW, I don’t own a single SW figure or shirt or anything, but the moment I saw the Wolfpack I was like HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY.

No one expects but what when they want only copyright logo, when they send me order with picture with copyright logo and they want from me to make that. And i will make that. I make 2 orders in one day so i will make more orders when buyers ask me for copyright logo, but when ask me to make original logo i will make original logo.Thanks for advices but i need to respect wishes of my buyers… But you can be my buyer and than give me order to make you original logo and you will see. Yes they can but i make some modification of that and put nice text inside
