Few clients ask me hundred of questions after day by day. But they don’t place any order. What are you doing in this situation, please share your experience.

What are you doing in this situation

I can think of two possible things to do:

  1. Tell them that you don’t feel you’re a good match for their project, or

  2. Send them a custom offer for consultations/questions about your service/whatever.

Yes, It also happens to me when I newly joined a fiverr I believe that it is because of you are not fully confident about your service you are giving or you are not a skilled person. Please try to give them the answer in professional way and be confident what you will provide them.

For Example: I am a designer I will say that you will get the design in High Quality please don’t get worried you will get the best from me and with other features also avoid using the words maybe and let me know in your answers.

Lead them.

They ask: “Do you do X?”

Reply with a custom offer or with “Yes I do. Please order my gig ASAP.”

I prefer the custom offer because I think it’s faster. Also, read your gig and see if you can answer the most common questions there, use the FAQ section as well. Either way, you’re still going to get questions.

If you don’t want their business because what they want is too hard, complicated, or inconvenient, just tell them, “I’m sorry, I can’t help you with this” or “this isn’t what I do.”

I have saved some answers, I have one with all my gigs and the gig link, one with all the prices for my #1 gig, etc.

I’ve discovered that you can be polite and professional without kissing a$$.

  1. You have the possibility to add FAQ’s to your gig. Make use of it and if they don’t read them (usual behavior) you can tell them that they find their answers there.

  2. Ask yourself if there are things in your gig description that aren’t clear. I didn’t take the time to look at your gigs and I won’t, but have a good look at it yourself. It could be that there is a lingual barrier. If so, find a gig on Fiverr of a seller who is offering help in this regard.

  3. Don’t get insane 🙂

I’ve had this happen a lot, every day in the last week or two, more than ever before.

They keep asking questions continually and never stop, without wanting to place an order. The questions are stupid and don’t have much to do with what I offer. I don’t know what is going on.

i cannot afford the gig.

how about a spell to remove someones hatred? or forgiveness spell?

This person is not asking about one of my gigs. They have apparently not looked at my gigs. I don’t offer any of these things. I get a lot of this lately, maybe from the forum.

If you fear getting bad reviews, why bother working?

Is a bad review the end of the world? We all get them, it’s only a matter of time.

I think we can look at things from a different angle. You should think out of the box and market yourself in a convincing way. A good example would be: “Sell me this pen”. If you can do that, then you don’t have to worry about getting orders. (Of course, the quality of the work should be worth the money they are paying).

Personally, before ordering from anyone i would analyze their work and if i am not convinced enough I will ask them questions. I don’t think most people have got time to waste their time or yours. (There could be exclusions from fellow sellers who want to sell you templates at the end of the conversation or want to see your work to copy, simply ignore them and that’s it. )

A couple of things you can do…

  1. Make your Gig Description clear as to what it is that you do and do not do.

  2. When asked a question, give a short, quick response. And assuming you actually do what they’re requesting - ask them, “When do you need it by?”

  3. If you don’t hear back from them after 2 days - then follow up with them with a simple message like, “I haven’t heard back from you. Are you still in need of xyz?”

This simple strategy has helped me recover hundreds of dollars in what would otherwise be lost sales. Try it and see.

Best!

I have experienced like you ajommahmud… They asked you thousand of question but the end they do not place any order. Although you have prove their requirement. it’s seems like wasting your time .

I sometimes discourage those who ask a lot of questions as they tend to be problem buyers, if and when they do buy a gig.

This is indeed a signal that it will be a nightmare-client. Therefore it would be best not to do any business with them.

One could reply like this:

“I’m a sure you will find a seller who is a good match for you and can answer all the questions you might have and who can deliver the service to your liking.” <- This should silence them.

When I was young I worked in retail and there were always certain ‘customers’ who would come and ask for advice. The risk back than was that they waste a lot of time and potential buying customers would leave the store and buy somewhere else. Always when I had one those dreamers, I handed them a a folder about the product and stated that all the information they require are in there and once they decided to purchase the product I would be happy to go into more detail.
