cristiscutaru
[For Fiverr’s programmers!]Guys, this looks like a usability issue. You have those buttons and I’m not sure if I have to click on the button to change my status? Or that is my actual status already? You should not combine static information with action commands. When a button (action command!) says “Hidden”, this means that you must click the button to become hidden. To say your status is already Hidden, you should show a label with that text. This being said, I still have no idea if I appear as a Buyer (as I should) or a Seller? logoeasy
“View As A Buyer” button on your profile page, is to click on it and view your profile the way your profile would appear to a buyer. It’s functionality appears perfectly fine, right and normal to me. It looks plain and simple as an information. You have no idea it’s actually a hyperlink, unless you move your mouse over. that’s a big usability issue, and I usually say thank you when users point me to similar issues on my own sites…
misscrystal
They look like buttons to me that are self explanatory. That is so that seller’s can see how their profile looks to buyers when they edit it.There is no other purpose for it. You don’t have to change it unless you are a seller editing your profile and want to see how it looks to buyers. Otherwise just ignore it and leave it as it is. There is no such option in the forum here. The Fiverr Community Forum is the same for both buyers and sellers and has same functionality for both buyers and sellers. At Fiverr main portal, many buyers are sellers too and many sellers are buyers too.One who uses their profile only for buying may not really bother about their profile appearance, but rather concerned with getting quality service delivered by sellers to whom he / she places orders.Sellers on the other hand do have to have their profiles to be accurate & attractive and so they use “View as a Buyer” to look at themselves in the mirror. logoeasy
yes, this is from the profile of the main site.if it does not matter, why do you display that info in such confusing way?ask an expert’s opinion, please. I was doing you a favor, man…There is nothing confusing about “View as a Buyer” button AND functionality. It is available on all Fiverr user’s profiles. It is used mostly by users who sell to see how their profile would appear to users who buy.Your status does not change by clicking on “View as a Buyer”.There is no separate profile option for buyer & sellers. We can use our profile or account for both buying and selling, some.users use Fiverr to sell, some to buy and some for both buying and selling. vickiespencer
I think you are overthinking this issue because of your software background. I understood what the “View as Buyer” button meant instantly. Moreover, I believe Fiverr knew when they created this button in this way that we who do not know of software would easily understand its purpose. I know I did, and from the replies, you have received, others did as well. However, if you still have an issue with this contact Customer Service. It’s just buyers and sellers here, not Fiverr developers. If you wish, you can contact Customer Support and tell them all about it, or ask them for an explanation.
