Someone said - @misscrystal or @eoinfinnegan - that Fiverr has a tap which it turns on and off. I have to agree with that. I didn’t get too many orders in the first 10 days of October, but suddenly, last 2-3 days got really big orders from new clients. My impressions are also up, higher than they have ever been. So much that I had to use the limit order feature and take my main gig off search. This is not the first time this has happened in my 3.5 years here. It happens all the time. So those of you who say you don’t get enough orders, just stick around and wait for the Fiverr tap to be turned on.

I am not sure why fiverr would throttle their revenue stream. I wonder if it might be more like rotation of who has visibility at the moment and who does not? Or maybe they place online ads that generate a bunch more traffic to the site?

I know for a fact they do this from my early days here but no idea how or why. I get orders in batches for an hour, then they stop when the faucet is turned off.

My theory is that the Fiverr fairies fly around and sprinkle the Fiverr gig dust on the sellers, and since they are hundreds and thousands of us, it take time for them to come around.

Or perhaps the occasional gust of wind blows the gig dust away, and it gets sprinkled on other people.

Most of my orders are from repeat clients - and I observed something strange: Lots of them showed up this week and almost none in the previous two. Same can happen with impressions/views/clicks/orders.

I know that if you search for something on Fiverr, you might get an e-mail the next day with gigs about that. So I wonder if some of my sales come from that. I wonder if my competitors are promoted more than me.

It’s weird how you can have several great days, then no sales, then sales, no tiny sales, then more sales, it’s so random, like you said- a tap they turn on and off.

It happens usually when I’ve been online a while. It hasn’t happened lately and my sales are way down. I don’t remember it ever happening unless I’m online.
