He told me “I can either give you the extra tip you want or I can leave a killer review once the order is complete.”

This part does not seem so bad? Or I have read it wrong? He seems to suggest that eitehr pay you extra or give you a good review. At that early stage i don’t think he has bad intentions yet. You need to find a way to stop buyers keep asking for free revisions.

He is saying either she does extra work without pay, or he leaves a bad review, or no review.

That’s extortion. That’s bad.

Of course It doesn’t sound bad. What he actually considered a tip was when I asked him to pay forward for the extra services he’s requesting. He rejected it with a “Hahaha” and a “Lol” and said he’ll either give the $5 tip as if I requested it from him or leave a killer feedback.

People treat us the way we allow them to. With all your “I didn’t want to argue” claims, it allows people like this (and believe me, there will be more of them if you spend any amount of time on Fiverr) to steamroll over you with veiled threats and coercion to do what they want for free. They know they have you between a rock and a hard place now that you have worked on this for days and have not put up much if any sort of fight. I read the $5 tip or “killer” review (gag me with a spoon, please) as a bribe as well as his other comments about “more work if you do this…” type of mentality. The kicker is the “you decide” throwing it back in your court, at which point, you should have said that you charge $5 for the service he wants added, add it to the message where he can click and upgrade his order and if he ignored it, move to cancel the order. This type of client will keep using you over and over because they know you lay down for it. I have had people order things that are way beyond a simple $5 job - and I do not hesitate to either modify the order with the appropriate charge or cancel it because I just don’t have time to be used as slave labor. Even if you are new here, do not let people walk all over you and get revision after revision (and this guy isn’t asking for revisions, he is just adding to the project, which is called an EXTRA)

Good luck with this one. It sounds like you learned a lesson from it, and that is at least a positive.

No, he was saying that if you do the work for free, he will leave “killer feedback” meaning that the review will be very positive. Again, reviews are not currency and asking for additional work in return for a good review is against ToS.

Agreed. I’m pretty sure he meant “killer feedback” as a good thing. It’s a common expression in english… “Hey man, I’ll give you a killer discount.” It basically just means “really awesome”.

Thanks. I definitely did learn a lesson. After sometimes you should go through something to learn and move on. I’ll be sure to work it this way.

Of course I know the meaning of “killer review”. However, the fact is that;

reviews are not currency and asking for additional work in return for a good review is against ToS.

Got a reply from CS to make a list of everything he wanted and to check it with my final output which I made. I explained everything single thing to the buyer thoroughly once I sent the final output. He liked it so he decided to pay forward for the extra work and was sorry for the inconvenience and messages he had sent.
